摘要： A filter for an in-tank type fuel pump. The filter comprises a frame, a bag type screen adapted to be kept in an expanded condition by the frame, and a flat protector to be interposed between the screen and a bottom surface of the fuel tank. The protector is attached to the screen substantially at the central portion of the protector in the longitudinal direction thereof, so that it may be pressed against the tank bottom surface by a small deflecting force of the screen. This construction is effective to cause less transmission of noise of the pump to the tank.

摘要： A hydropneumatic shock absorber includes an inlet valve and an outlet valve. The inlet valve opens when the piston moves in a contracting direction so that fluid is sucked into a pump chamber, and the outlet valve opens when the piston moves in an extending direction so that the fluid is discharged from the pump chamber into a high-pressure operating chamber. Thus, the pressure in the high-pressure operating chamber does not increase when the wheel bounces, and the oscillation encountered while the vehicle is traveling is properly absorbed so that good riding comfort is realized.

These operations are repeated until the frame is sent to all destination stations. Thus, when a frame is sent to a plurality of stations, traffic density can be reduced, and a transfer sequence can be set according to the state of the transmission network and the stations, Further, when a frame cannot be sent to any destination station, information about this failure to send is written in the frame, and the frame is sent to another station which has not received the frame.

摘要： A vertical magnetic recording medium comprising a substrate and a magnetic layer formed on the substrate and having a magnetic anisotropy in the direction vertical to the surface of the substrate is described. The magnetic layer is composed substantially of a metal selected from cobalt and/or iron, and an oxide of the metal. The metal and metal oxide consist of columnar structures oriented in the direction vertical to the surface of the substrate and spaced from one another through fine voids throughout the magnetic layer. The columnar structures have a diameter of 100 to 1000 .ANG. and the magnetic layer have a void ratio of to 56%. The vertical magnetic recording medium is prepared by a process for vacuum-depositing a metal selected from cobalt and iron to form a magnetic layer on a substrate, wherein an oxygen gas and at least one gas chemically inactive in the vacuum deposition system, which is selected from nitrogen, argon, helium, neon, xenon, radon, methane and ethane, are introduced into the vacuum to an extent such that the pressure in the vicinity of the substrate is 1.times.10.sup.-3 to 5.times.10.sup.-2 Torr.

摘要： An ink for ink-jet printing used for ink-jet printing images onto the ink non-absorptive surfaces of cylindrical containers, and comprising at least a water-soluble solvent, a coloring material, a surfactant, a thickener and/or a binder resin, the coloring material being contained in an amount of 5 to 20% by weight, the surfactant in an amount of 0.1 to 5% by weight, the thickener in an amount of not more than 10% by weight, and the binder resin being contained in an amount of not more than 30% by weight. Owing to its ink-jet printability, the ink for ink-jet printing of the invention can be favorably used for printing images on the non-absorptive cylindrical containers such as seamless cans that are used for containing beverages and foods.
