    摘要: A four-row cylindrical roller bearing is incorporated into between the inner peripheral surface of a housing and the outer peripheral surface of a backup roller. A sensor unit 7 is held in a portion of a collar disposed in the axial-direction end portion of the four-row cylindrical roller bearing. The sensor unit comprises a detect part for detecting temperatures and vibrations and a transmitter device for transmitting signals, which are obtained after output signals taken out from the detect part are processed, as radio signals. On a portion of a hold cover which is a separate member from the collar, there is disposed a receive antenna which is part of a receiver apparatus for receiving the radio signals transmitted by the transmitter device.

    摘要: For preloading a tapered roller bearing (1) secured with a conical seat on a tapering roll neck (3) of a roll (2), in particular, a back-up roll, arranged in a roll stand by means of a chock (4), by application of a hydraulic pressure thereto, the bearing inner ring (18), rollers, (17) and the bearing outer ring (17) of the tapered roller bearing (1) are subjected to pressure produced during rolling and are radially preloaded against the roll (2). An annular pressure-applying device is supported on the roll (2) by an axial bearing provided on the roll end neck, is arranged against the bearing outer ring of the tapered roller bearing (1) and, upon application of pressure, displaces the chock (4) with the bearing outer ring (13) in a direction toward the roll body (15) or the roll (2) in an opposite direction.

    摘要: A four-row tapered roller bearing is incorporated in the clearance between the inner surface of a housing and the outer surface of a rolling roller. A pair of supporting members supporting sensor devices are fitted in and supported by a part of the inner surface of the housing in such a manner that they are opposed to the ends of outer rings of the four-row tapered roller bearing disposed close to the both axial ends thereof. The sensor devices each comprise a distortion gauge as a detecting portion and a first coil for transmitting as a wireless signal a signal obtained by processing an output signal outputted from the distortion gauge. A second coil for receiving the wireless signal transmitted by the first coil is retained on a part of a member other than the supporting members.

    摘要: When an inner race 12 rotates at a speed lower than a predetermined speed, a sealing body 27 contacts the sealing face part 21c, but when the inner race 12 rotates at a speed more than the predetermined speed, a contacting pressure to a sealing face part 21c is reduced or the sealing body 27 is isolated so as to form a non-contacting seal, and therefore, for example, at the low speed, the sealing body 27 forms a contacting seal, thereby to compensate a low speed-low sealing ability of the non-contacting seal such as the labyrinth seal, and on the other hand, at high speed rotation, the sealing body 27 reduces the contacting pressure to the sealing face part 21c, otherwise separates therefrom to form the non-contacting seal as the labyrinth seal, whereby it is possible to solve the problem of heating or abrasion at the contacting part. Further, a sleeve 122 is mounted on the supporting edge 12a of the inner race 12, thereby to secure the sealing device 120 without processing a screwing hole in the inner race 12. Moreover, the sleeve 122 is optionally processed with a screwing hole 122a, to thereby easily fix the sealing device 120 by the bolt 124.

    摘要: A roll supporting device for a rolling mill arrangement, supporting rolls rotatably to housings by double row roller bearings or multi-row roller bearings. On surfaces of bearing rings and rollers of the roller bearing are provided carbonitrided layers of 0.80% or greater in carbon content and of Rockwell hardness HRC 58 or greater. The carbonitrided layers are formed to contain residual austenite content of 25-30% by volume. By virtue of the carbonitrided layers, the strength against the surface-initiated type damage to the contact surfaces of the bearing rings and the rollers is improved, so that the enhancement of the life of the roll supporting device, especially the lives of the bearing portions thereof, can be achieved to contribute to the prolongation of inspection and maintenance periods and to the reduction of inspection and maintenance costs.

    摘要: In order to appropriately distribute a lubricating oil of high viscosity to lubrication points through a simple construction in oil and air lubrication, in a preferred embodiment of the present invention, three distributors 8, 9 and 10 are provided between oil feed passages 7, the most downstream one of which is connected at the downstream end of the passage to a fourth branch passage 14. Quantities of the lubricating oil are passed through the holes A, B and C of the first distributor 8, those E and F of the second distributor 9 and that H of the third distributor 10. Other quantities of the oil, which are nearly equal to each other, are sent to three lubrication points through the other holes D, G and I of the distributors 8, 9 and 10 and a first, a second and a third branch passages 11, 12 and 13. The three lubrication points are a point at contact-type oil seals 5, and two points in a four-train conical roller bearing 3. The oil flowing through the oil feed passage 7 downstream of the third distributor 10 is all sent to the other lubrication point at contact-type oil seals 6 through the fourth branch passage 14.
