Abstract: A wheel for working the fields comprises a wheel body comprising a pair of flanges and a spacer, and a tire cover, generally annular, comprising two side walls, a tread connecting the side walls to one another and an opening opposite to the tread. The tire cover is mounted on the wheel body in such a way that the spacer is positioned across its opening. The flanges are arranged in such a way as to block the side walls of the tire cover against the spacer in the vicinity of the opening.

Abstract: The present invention concerns a runflat device for a tubeless mounted assembly for a motor vehicle and an assembly incorporating said device. A device in accordance with the invention for a unit comprises a wheel rim having a plurality of pieces and a tire cover comprising beads mounted against the flanges of the rim, the device comprising: a support ring for mounting around the rim to support the tire cover following a drop in inflation pressure and divided into at least two ring sectors; and means for locking said beads against the flanges to connect the sectors to the beads. The device is such that each ring sector comprises a rigid wall which defines at least one internal volume and which defines the lateral faces of the ring sector.

Abstract: A band-type well obstructor for obstructing the well of the hub of a wheel rim, particularly for a pneumatic tire. The well obstructor has an inextensible band with integral circular protrustions mechanically extruded onto the band. The circular protrusions extend radially inwardly to abut against the base of the well to retain the band in position surrounding the well, and to resist crushing under the weight of the vehicle in the event of deflation of the tire. The well obstructor has a fastener assembly utilizing a screw with a groove adapted to receive a locking ring. The fastener assembly further has two transverse beams, one of which is adapted to fit over the end of the screw and abut against a locking washer placed between the transverse beam and the head of the screw. The locking ring is then snapped into place to hold this transverse beam in position. The second transverse beam is placed over the threaded end of the screw. This transverse beam has a countersunk notch on its lower portion which is adapted to receive a nut and to prevent relative rotation of the nut with respect to the second transverse beam.
