    Abstract: An apparatus for controlling a battery system includes a high voltage battery mounted on a vehicle, high voltage loads electrically connected to the high-voltage battery, and a processor. The processor determines a peak at which an instantaneous output of the high voltage battery exceeds a preset reference range, determines a target load among the high voltage loads electrically connected to the high voltage battery, and enters a peak reduction control period for reducing the peak to control power consumption of the target load.

    Abstract: An electrical component control device controls an operation state of at least one electrical component mounted in an autonomous vehicle. The electrical component control device comprises a request determination unit that determines whether a movement request for moving the autonomous vehicle in a state where a user is not in the autonomous vehicle is received; an operation restraining unit that restrains operations of multiple target electrical components representing an electrical component that acts on five senses of the user when the autonomous vehicle is instructed to move in response to the movement request; an operation state recording unit that records operation states of the multiple target electrical components; and a state restoring unit that restores the operation states of the multiple target electrical components to the operation states of the multiple target electrical components recorded in the memory, before the user gets on the autonomous vehicle.

    Abstract: An HVAC blower assembly includes a scroll housing, which includes an annular scroll channel provided by an outer ring wall and an inner ring wall extending from a scroll housing wall. A blower wheel is disposed within the scroll housing. The blower wheel includes an inlet end and an opposite end axially spaced from an inlet end with respect to an axis of rotation of the blower wheel. The blower wheel includes a plurality of circumferentially spaced blades, and a channel at the inlet end having a radially inner annular wall and a radially outer annular wall. A plurality of circumferentially spaced ribs are within the channel. The radially outer annular wall is radially between the outer ring wall and the inner ring wall, and the inner ring wall is radially between the radially inner annular wall and the radially outer annular wall.

    Abstract: An embodiment heat pump system for a vehicle includes an air conditioner unit and a chiller. The air conditioner unit includes a compressor, first through third heat-exchangers, a first expansion valve, and an evaporator interconnected by a refrigerant line for circulating a refrigerant through the refrigerant line, and the chiller is connected to the refrigerant line through a first connection line for adjusting a temperature of a coolant by heat-exchanging the refrigerant with the coolant. The air conditioner unit further includes a second expansion valve on the first connection line upstream of the chiller, a first valve on the refrigerant line between the first and second heat-exchangers, a third expansion valve on the refrigerant line between the first valve and the second heat-exchanger, a second valve on the refrigerant line between the evaporator and the compressor, and a fourth expansion valve on a second connection line.
