Abstract: A mobile device, such as a smartphone or a tablet computer, can execute functionality for configuring a network device in a communication network and for subsequently controlling the operation of the network device with little manual input. The mobile device can detect sensor information from a network device. The mobile device can determine device configuration information based, at least in part, on decoding the sensor information. The mobile device can provide the device configuration information to an access point of a network. The mobile device can receive communication link information from the access point. The mobile device can provide the communication link information to the network device. The mobile device can receive a message indicating a communication link between the network device and the access point is established.

The computer includes a central processing unit, and a wireless access point coupled to the enclosure, the wireless access point being coupled to the central processing unit. Moreover, the wireless access point is for wirelessly transferring data received from the central processing unit to at least one solid state drive stored in the bay. Abstract: An initial node deployment to form a cluster involves execution of program code to begin discovering other nodes on a LAN that will constitute the cluster. A node initially starts processes to obtain information to transition from an unconfigured state to a configured state. The nodes on the LAN can execute a discovery process that facilitates forming and configuring of the cluster, but the discovered information is confined within the LAN. This effectively blocks cluster configuration until someone locally connects to a host and retrieves a node address. To remove this obstacle, a node image can include program code to detect a compliant target device and extract to the target device an address of a discovered node that is valid for remote cluster configuration. The target device can then be used to convey the extracted address to allow commencement of cluster configuration remotely.

Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, monitoring a control plane of a service provider network including messages that facilitate network access by local equipment to subscribed services. A data plane managed by the network and separate from the control plane is also monitored. The data plane facilitates an exchange of user data between the connected devices, the network and the subscribed services. Local equipment are identified based on the monitoring of the control plane, and local network connectivity is established between the processing system and the local equipment. A common communication channel is established between the processing system and the network, wherein network access to the subscribed services is based on an exchange of the user data via the common communication channel. Abstract: In one embodiment, a fog computing-based fueling kiosk forms a fueling connection with a vehicle and a direct network connection between the kiosk and a gateway for a network of the vehicle. The fueling kiosk provides energy to the vehicle via the fueling connection and receives, via the network connection with the gateway for the network of the vehicle, operational data from the network of the vehicle, while providing the energy to the vehicle via the fueling connection. The fueling kiosk performs an analysis of the received operational data from the vehicle and provides a result of the performed analysis to a remote device.
