Abstract:
A method of diagnosing glaucoma using machine learning methods comprises determining a labeled training data set. The labeled training data set comprises electroretinography (ERG) signals measured from a group of subjects. The ERG signals are labeled either glaucomatous or non-glaucomatous based on the subject from which each ERG signal was measured. The training data set is used to train a machine learning model, WNW such as a decision tree model, a discriminant model, a support vector machine, a nearest neighbor algorithm, or an ensemble classifier. The resulting trained machine learning model is configured to classify an ERG signal input as glaucomatous or non-glaucomatous. The model can be employed by measuring an ERG from a subject and inputting the measured ERG into the trained machine learning model. The subject can be diagnosed as having glaucoma based on an output classification of glaucomatous.

A propulsion system for use with an aircraft includes a gas turbine engine, an electric power system, and at least one propulsor. The gas turbine engine includes a compressor, a combustor, and a turbine. The electric power system includes a generator coupled to the gas turbine engine to generate electrical energy, power electronics connected to the generator to receive the electrical energy from the generator, and a motor configured to produce rotational energy in response to receiving electric energy from the power electronics. The propulsor is configured to use rotational energy received from the motor of the electric power system to generate thrust for propelling the aircraft.

A hybrid propulsion system for use with an aircraft includes a gas turbine engine, at least one propulsor, and an electric power system. The electric power system is coupled to the gas turbine engine to generate electrical energy and the propulsor to provide electrical energy to drive the propulsor. The electric power system includes a thermal management system configured to cool a heat load generated by the electric power system.

A non-volatile random access memory (NVRAM) is used in a computer system to store information that allows the NVRAM to autonomously initialize itself at power-on. The computer system includes a processor, an NVRAM controller coupled to the processor, and an NVRAM that comprises the NVRAM controller. The NVRAM is byte-rewritable and byte-erasable by the processor. The NVRAM stores a memory interface table containing information for the NVRAM controller to autonomously initialize the NVRAM upon power-on of the computer system without interacting with the processor and firmware outside of the NVRAM. The information is provided by the NVRAM controller to the processor to allow the processor to access the NVRAM.

The present application is directed towards systems and methods for providing user interfaces for management applications via a definition-based graphical user interface (GUI) framework for developing web based management applications for servers, intermediaries, routers, wide area network (WAN) accelerators, caches, switches, or any other type and form of computing device. The plug-in free framework reduces the server's resource consumption and bandwidth by making a full use of resources available on the client computing device or browser. A complete web application can be developed using JavaScript Object Notation (JSON) definitions along with a representational state transfer (REST) based application programming interface (API) efficiently using the framework, which may comprise light-weight pure JavaScript or similar executable code. In many embodiments, the framework may be layered in a model-view-controller (MVC) architecture easing resource consumption, maintenance and extensibility.

A method and control system are disclosed for optimizing load scheduling for a power plant having one or more generation units. The method can include analyzing the operating state of one or more components of generation units in terms of one or more risk indices associated with one or more components of generation units; updating an objective function that reflects the state of one or more components of generation units; solving the objective function to optimize a schedule of the one or more generation units and operating state of one or more components of generation units; and operating the one or more generation units at optimized schedule and operating state.

A method is described in which, in response to notice of a configuration event yet to happen within a network that is part of a link-based computing system, a component within said link based computing system: a) identifies networking configuration information changes to be made by components within the link-based computing system; and, b) sends instances of program code to each one of the components. Each instance of program code is to be executed by a specific component that it was sent to. Each instance of program code is customized to implement the particular one or more networking configuration information changes to be made at the specific component it was sent to.

A system and method of real-time interconnect billing to facilitate invoicing and reconciliation between interconnected communication and service providers. The fully customizable, scalable, and network-based system rates and monitors costs, incorporates agreements between interconnected providers, invoices, bills, and reconciles to establish an accurate and cost-effective accounting of provider revenues and costs. The system is able to communicate with devices, networks, and interconnect providers to obtain, provide and exchange billing information and payments. The system updates subscriber accounts and alerts the home provider, subscribers, interconnect providers and users of these updates.
