Abstract: Two inverters (10) provided at respective both ends of open-end windings (8) are appropriately controlled. As control regions (R) of a rotating electrical machine (80), a first speed region (VR1) and a second speed region (VR2) in which the rotational speed of the rotating electrical machine (80) is higher than in the first speed region (VR1) for the same torque are set, and in the second speed region (VR2), a rotating electrical machine control device (1) controls both inverters (10), a first inverter (11) and a second inverter (12), by mixed pulse width modulation control in which control is performed such that a plurality of pulses with different patterns are outputted during a first period (T1) which is a half cycle of electrical angle, and an inactive state continues during a second period (T2) which is the other half cycle.

Abstract: A rotary electric machine includes a rotor, and a stator facing the rotor with a predetermined gap interposed between the rotor and stator. The stator has a stator core formed in a substantially circular annular shape and provided with an armature slot and a field slot alternately arranged in a circumferential direction, an armature winding housed in the armature slot, and a field winding and a first field magnet housed in the field slot. The armature winding generates a rotating magnetic field to rotate the rotor by being supplied with an alternating current armature current. The field winding generates a field flux by being supplied with a direct current field current. The first field magnet changes a magnetic force by the field flux.

Abstract: A controller performs a first process of scanning a cylindrical irradiation region including a focused spot of laser light emitted from a laser light emitter to machine a flank face side of a workpiece to manufacture a cutting tool having a plurality of cutting edges arranged in line. In the first process, the controller scans the cylindrical irradiation region along a scanning path that has periodicity and changes a machining depth to form the plurality of cutting edges. The controller further performs a second process of scanning the cylindrical irradiation region including the focused spot of the laser light emitted in a direction different from an irradiation direction of the laser light in the first process to machine a rake face side of the workpiece.

Abstract: A guided bone regeneration material is disclosed. The guided bone regeneration material includes biodegradable fibers produced by an electrospinning method. The biodegradable fibers produced by the method include a silicon-releasing calcium carbonate and a biodegradable polymer. The silicon-releasing calcium carbonate is a composite of siloxane and calcium carbonate of vaterite phase. The biodegradable fibers may be coated with apatite. When the guided bone regeneration material is immersed in a neutral aqueous solution, silicon species ions are eluted from the calcium carbonate. The guided bone regeneration material excels in bone reconstruction ability.

Abstract: Rebuilding a defected bone by activating the innate self-regeneration ability of bone requires a considerably long period of time. The purpose of the present invention is to provide a bone defect filling material that initiates a bone rebuilding activity as quickly as possible after implantation and thereafter remains in the defect to continue promoting bone formation activity until sufficient bone formation has been achieved for the rebuilding of the defect. The present invention provides a cotton-like bone defect filling material comprising biodegradable fibers produced by electrospinning. The biodegradable fibers contain 40-60 wt % of calcium phosphate particles and 10 wt % or more of silicon-releasing calcium carbonate particles, with the remainder containing 30 wt % or more of poly(L-lactic acid) polymer, and the amount of the poly(L-lactic acid) polymer that is non-crystalline is 75-98%.
