Abstract:
An electrophoretic display and a driving method thereof are provided. The electrophoretic display includes a display panel, a storage unit and a timing controller. The display panel has a plurality of sub pixels. The storage unit stores a plurality of sets of multiple-grayscale driving waveforms, in which the driving voltage scales of driving waveforms corresponding to a same grayscale in the sets of multiple-grayscale driving waveforms are different from each other. The timing controller is coupled to the storage unit and the display panel and receives an image signal, and when the image signal transmits a multiple-grayscale frame, the timing controller sequentially adopts the sets of multiple-grayscale driving waveforms to drive the sub pixels.
Abstract:
The present invention discloses an electro-phoretic display comprising an electro-phoretic panel, a column driver, a row driver, for selecting a row to be driven; and a controller, for determining whether to update a pixel of a current frame according to a compared result between a pixel value of the pixel and a pixel value of a corresponding pixel of a previous frame; wherein, the column driver provides a data signal to the pixel and the row driver provides a selecting signal according to the pixel if the pixel needs to be updated.
Abstract:

Abstract:
An electronic system includes: a portable electronic device; and an electronic device, for detecting whether the portable electronic device is available, and transferring a partial task of a first task, which is to be processed by the electronic device, to the portable electronic device via a transmission interface if the portable electronic device is available; wherein the portable electronic device processes the partial task to generate a processed result and transfers the processed result to the electronic device via the transmission interface such that the electronic device is capable of completely processing the first task.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for producing a profile identifying a microorganism based on surface enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) and an apparatus thereof. The method comprises: (1) placing the microorganism on a SERS-active substrate; (2) mounting the microorganism with a mounting solution; (3) obtaining a SERS spectrum of the microorganism in step (2); and (4) analyzing the SERS spectrum to produce the profile. The present invention also relates to a method for detecting morphology alteration of a microorganism due to an antimicrobial agent or an infectious agent based on SERS and an apparatus thereof. The method comprises: (1) placing the microorganism on a SERS-active substrate; (2) mounting the microorganism with a mounting solution; (3) treating the microorganism with a pharmaceutically effective amount of the antimicrobial agent or the infectious agent; (4) obtaining a SERS spectrum of the microorganism in step (3); and (5) identifying effect of the antimicrobial agent or the infectious agent by at least one new peak in the SERS spectrum in step (4) compared to a SERS spectrum of a control sample, wherein the control sample is not treated with the antimicrobial agent or the infectious agent.
