    Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to embodiments of catheter-based prosthetic heart valves, and in particular, prosthetic heart valves having sealing devices configured to seal the interface between the prosthetic valve and the surrounding tissue of the native annulus in which the prosthetic valve is implanted. In one embodiment, a prosthetic heart valve includes an annular sealing member that can be placed in a delivery orientation extending axially away from one end of the valve when the valve is in a radially compressed state. When the valve is expanded, the expansion of the frame causes the sealing member to be pulled to an operative orientation covering a portion of the frame. The present disclosure also discloses new mechanisms and techniques for mounting valve leaflets to a frame of a prosthetic heart valve.

    Abstract: Described herein are annular frames for prosthetic heart valves that include commissure portions that are radially offset and/or are radially flexible relative to the rest of the frame. The commissure portions can extend radially outwardly from the rest of the frame such that they are positioned at a greater radius than the adjacent struts of the frame. The commissure portions can be cantilevered from the frame, such that only one axial end of the commissure portion is attached to the rest of the frame, allowing the commissure portions to flex radially inwardly and outwardly relative to the rest of the frame. Lateral arms can also couple upper ends of the commissure portions to adjacent apices to pull them in at larger diameters. The radial position of the commissure portions relative to the rest of the frame can affect the positioning of the leaflets and the effectiveness of the valve.

    Abstract: A prosthetic heart valve comprises an annular frame comprising a plurality of interconnected struts, wherein the frame is radially compressible and expandable between a radially compressed state and a radially expanded state. A plurality of leaflets are situated within the frame, each leaflet comprising a main body, two opposing commissure tabs arranged on opposite sides of the main body and two opposing sub-commissure tabs arranged on opposite sides of the main body. Each commissure tab of a leaflet is paired with an adjacent commissure tab of an adjacent leaflet to form a commissure that is coupled to the frame. Each sub-commissure tab is paired with an adjacent sub-commissure tab of an adjacent leaflet and connected thereto, wherein each pair of sub-commissure tabs extends radially inwardly relative to the frame.
