摘要: Provided are a method, system, computer storage device, and storage area network for maintaining a communication path from a host to a storage subsystem in a network. A storage subsystem controls data transfer and access to a storage devices in a network, wherein the storage subsystem is coupled to a switch and the switch is coupled to a host in the network. A topological storage is coupled to the host, the switch and the storage subsystem, for storing a topological coupling relationship between the host and the switch and a topological coupling relationship between the switch and the storage subsystem. In response to determining a failed path between the storage subsystem and the switch coupled to the storage subsystem, the storage subsystem determines a first port on the storage subsystem in the failed path. The storage subsystem determines from the topology storage the topological coupling relationship between the host and the switch and the topological coupling relationship between the switch and the storage subsystem. The storage subsystem redirects, based on the topological coupling relationships, a message sent to the first port of the storage subsystem to an operational second port in the storage subsystem coupled to the switch.

摘要: Power is managed in an elevator system including an elevator hoist motor (12), a primary power supply (20), and an electrical energy storage (EES) system (32). A power demand of the elevator hoist motor is determined, and a state-of-charge (SOC) of the EES system is determined. Power exchanged between the hoist motor, the primary power supply, and the EES system is controlled based on the power demand of the hoist motor and the SOC of the EES system.

摘要: Various embodiments of the present invention provide methods and apparatuses for multi-level layer decoding of non-binary LDPC codes. For example, an apparatus is disclosed for layer decoding of multi-level low density parity check encoded data. The apparatus includes a low density parity check decoder operable to perform layered decoding of a plurality of circulant submatrices from an H matrix. The apparatus also includes a parity check calculator connected to the low density parity check decoder, operable to detect whether a stopping criterion has been met in the low density parity check decoder. The low density parity check decoder is also operable to end a decoding operation at less than a maximum number of iterations when the stopping criterion is met.

摘要: Systems and methods are provided for scoring non-native speech. Two or more speech samples are received, where each of the samples are of speech spoken by a non-native speaker, and where each of the samples are spoken in response to distinct prompts. The two or more samples are concatenated to generate a concatenated response for the non-native speaker, where the concatenated response is based on the two or more speech samples that were elicited using the distinct prompts. A concatenated speech proficiency metric is computed based on the concatenated response, and the concatenated speech proficiency metric is provided to a scoring model, where the scoring model generates a speaking score based on the concatenated speech metric.

摘要: A regenerative elevator system operates in three modes: motoring, idle and regeneration. During the regeneration mode, the elevator motor operates as a generator, and electrical energy is stored in an energy storage system for later use. The energy storage system may be located in a machine room or hoistway where temperature can vary widely. A thermoelectric thermal management system provides thermoelectric cooling or heating to maintain the energy storage system within a desired operating temperature range.
