摘要: A liquid crystal display device of the present invention capable of enlarging and displaying to a high picture quality even when display data having a lower resolution than a liquid crystal panel is inputted, is provided with storage element groups every drain line within latches of a liquid crystal driver. A portion of the storage element groups simultaneously captures display data. In doing so, the same liquid crystal apply voltage is outputted from drain lines corresponding to these storage element groups. Storage element groups corresponding to neighboring drain lines then simultaneously capture display data so as to enlarge an image in the horizontal direction. The rate of enlargement can be regulated by changing the number of storage element groups simultaneously capturing display data. A scanning driver then simultaneously selects a plurality of rows with a select voltage being applied to the simultaneously selected rows of pixel elements in the same period so as to enlarge the image in the vertical direction. Enlarged displaying is therefore possible by the liquid crystal driver regulating an output period of the liquid crystal apply voltage even when rows are selected one at a time.

摘要: A Viterbi decoder with a pipeline processing function for decoding a received code sequence transferred from an encoder, including correlation determining circuit for calculating correlation between a received code sequence and each of a plurality of predetermined code sequences of known allowable transitions; and selecting circuits operatively receiving the correlations for selecting one of the predetermined code sequences as the maximum likelihood transition. The selected one of the predetermined code sequences has the maximum correlation among the correlations. A decoded code sequence is obtained from the selected one of the predetermined code sequences. The correlation determining circuit includes a plurality of new correlation determining circuits each for determining a new correlation based on newly received code sequence and an aready calculated correlation between the already received code sequence and one of the predetermined code sequences; and a comparing circuit for comparing, simultaneously with the determination of the new correlations, already calculated correlations between the already received code sequence and the predetermined code sequences, so as to output a path selecting data. The selecting circuits selects, in response to the selecting data, one of the predetermined code sequences as the maximum likekihood sequence with respect to the code sequence generated by the encoder.

摘要: In order to improve the phase skipping characteristic and the transient response characteristic when using a tracking filter to regenerate the carrier from a PSK signal, a pair of output points having different equivalent noise bandwidths are set by using a first filter having a broad equivalent noise bandwidth and a second filter having a narrow bandwidth. The phase difference between the output points is detected by a phase detector, the phase of the signal at the output point having the broader noise equivalent bandwidth being changed by a phase shifter if a phase difference is detected. The filters and associated circuitry can be connected in either parallel or serial configuration, and the frequency division necessary in the tracking filter can be accomplished in more than one stage to simplify the phase shifting requirement. Additionally either channel switching or polarity inversion of the demodulated baseband signal, or both, can be performed on the basis of such phase differences.

摘要: A cross polarization compensation system, in which an input elliptically polarized wave is converted, by a first rotatable differential phase shifter having a phase shift of 90.degree. or less than 90.degree., into an elliptically polarized wave defined by.vertline..alpha..vertline.=.vertline.cot.sup.-1 .gamma..vertline.(where .alpha. is the tilt angle of an ellipse indicative of the elliptically polarized wave relative to a predetermined reference direction and .gamma. is the axial ratio for the ellipse), and then the phase delay or advance plane of a second rotatable differential phase shifter having a phase shift of the ellipse indicative of 90.degree. is disposed in alignment with the major axis of the converted elliptically polarized wave, thereby to obtain a linearly polarized wave having electric fields components of a desired direction.

摘要: A band-pass filter circuit comprising a band-pass filter for removing noise modulation components from an input signal comprising a carrier sine wave, a phase detector for detecting a phase difference between input and output signals of the band-pass filter, a loop filter supplied with the output from the phase detector, and automatic control means for effecting control by the output from the loop filter so that a difference between the frequency of the input sine wave and the center frequency of the band-pass filter is reduced to zero. For carrier recovery in a burst mode, the loop filter is selected for each particular case so that high-speed pulling-in is possible even if a narrow-band filter is employed as the band-pass filter for the removal of noise components. Also, high-speed and high-precision pulling-in is achieved when many bursts of different frequencies are applied in one frame period. Further, when common and individual frequency variations occur at the same time, high-speed pulling-in is also achieved for each burst.

The display control device has a display bit reduction circuit. In a high-temperature operation mode when a temperature equal to or more than a predetermined temperature is detected at the temperature detecting sensor, the display bit reduction circuit ignores bits other than the highest-order bit of the display data input from the external apparatus and sends only the data of the highest-order bit of the display data input from the external apparatus to the drive circuit.
