摘要: The invention provides an electronic control unit for controlling an air/fuel ratio of an engine having a lean NOx catalyst in its exhaust system in order to prevent the decrease of the fuel efficiency without deterioration of the drivability due to a rich operation for reducing the NOx catalyst. The electronic control unit includes: an air/fuel ratio control system for changing the air/fuel ratio to a rich side when the amount of NOx occluded by the lean NOx catalyst exceeds a predetermined value and changing said air/fuel ratio back to a lean side when a first predetermined period has elapsed; a lagging system for lagging ignition timing in synchronization with the air/fuel ratio changing to the rich side by said air/fuel ratio control system; and decrementing system for decreasing the amount of the ignition timing lagged by the lagging system by a predetermined amount when a second predetermined period shorter than said first predetermined period has elapsed after the air/fuel ratio changing to the rich side. According to the invention, it is possible to prevent the decrease of the fuel efficiency without the deterioration of the drivability due to the rich operation to reduce the NOx catalyst because the ignition timing is lagged in synchronization with the air/fuel ratio changing to the rich side and the lagged amount is decremented after a predetermined period has elapsed. In one embodiment, the decrementing system gradually decrements said lagging amount up to a hold value.

摘要: A portable electric router having a housing supporting within it a motor on whose shaft is fixed a chuck for fixing in place a rotary cutting bit. A base is provided for fixing an axial position of the housing. A guide plate having a guide surface in contact with the workpiece is fixed to the base for guiding the rotary cutting bit over the workpiece. Further, a radially protruding handle is fixed to the base for slidingly moving the guide plate. The guide plate has an extension section extending immediately below the handle and whose bottom surface is flush with the guide surface. Alternatively, a bottom surface of the handle is flush with the guide surface.

摘要: A catalyst composition for purification of exhaust gas, including (a) high-silica zeolite having a Si/Al ratio of 40 or more, subjected to ion exchange with at least one metal selected from Pt, Pd, Rh, Ir and Ru, and (b) a heat-resistant oxide containing at least one metal selected from Pt, Pd, Rh, Ir and Ru; a catalyst for purification of exhaust gas, including a monolith carrier and the catalyst composition supported on the carrier; and a process for producing the catalyst. The catalyst has high activity for exhaust gas purification even when the catalyst contains Rh--, --, which is an expensive catalyst component, in a very small amount.

摘要: A device for supporting and positioning the objective lens in an optical reading apparatus, such as, a video disc player, comprises a first pair of parallel leaf springs attached at one end thereof to a fixed support member for motion parallel to a record medium surface. A movable frame is attached to the other ends of the first springs, and a second pair of leaf springs movable perpendicularly to the record medium surface extend from the frame, the second springs being generally parallel to and between the first pair but with their faces perpendicular to those of the first pair. The objective lens is mounted at the free ends of the second pair of springs, and is movable electromagnetically in orthogonally related directions by means of coils and magnets associated with the objective lens and with the frame.

摘要: Apparatus and method for abrading or grinding a workpiece with great accuracy. An abrasive support unit is mounted on a vertical column for vertical and horizontal movement. The abrasive support unit is driven automatically along a linear horizontal path and transversely thereof while being driven rotationally. The abrasive support unit has an abrasive mounted thereon on a universal element that provides for universal movement of the abrasive. Servo means are provided for applying the abrasive support unit to the workpiece at a preset pressure. A detector in the form of a differential transformer detects variations in the pressure of application, due to variations in the uneveness of the workpiece, and develops a feedback input to the servo means for applying the abrasive support unit at the preset pressure.
