摘要: An apparatus and method are described for forming and reinforcing a butt splice (21) along the abutting edges (18, 20) of two elastomeric sheets (12, 14) which typically contain a plurality of reinforcing cords (16) extending parallel to one another and to the abutting edges (18, 20) of the sheets. Each butt splice (21) is reinforced with a splice strip (22, 24) which bridges the butt splice. The splice strip (22, 24) is applied to the butt splice (21) using a splice applicating device (60) containing at least one and preferably two applicator heads (66, 68) which move from a splice strip load position P1 to a third position P3 where an applicator head can press the splice strip (22, 24) into contact with the butt splice (21). First, the applicator heads (66, 68) rotate about an axis between the load position P1 and a second position P2 spaced from the butt splice (21). Then, one of the heads (66, 68) reciprocates toward and away from the splice strip application position P3. The splice strip (22, 24) is held on the applicator head (66, 68) by vacuum until the splice strip is pressed against and adhered to the butt splice (21) at which time the vacuum is released and the applicator head (66, 68) is withdrawn.

摘要: A process for the preparation of fiber-reinforced plastic molding includes (1) shortening the fibers to a length of less than 30 mm; (2) introducing the fibers and the plastics present in the solid state, separately from one another, into a mixing chamber of a die press, wherein the plastic is in particulate form; (3) thoroughly mixing the plastic and fibers to give a solids mixture; (4) transporting the solids mixture through die orifices of the die press; (5) heating the solids mixture in the zone before or in the orifices of the die; (6) enclosing at least part or partly embedding the fibers by the plastic during or after the heating of the solids mixture; and (7) comminuting the granulated material for subsequent molding.

摘要: A process for producing a biodegradable resin foam, having the steps of mixing a starch polymer containing from 5% by weight to 30% by weight of water, a vinyl alcohol resin containing from 5% by weight to 30% by weight of water, a nonionic surfactant, an inorganic or organic filler, and optionally a thickening agent; optionally adjusting the water content of the mixture, to prepare a composition having from 5% by weight to 30% by weight of water on the whole, based on total weight of the composition; melting and expanding it to prepare a foam, which has a low density and fine closed cells, and shows a good surface condition in a molded body.

摘要: A process for manufacturing mouldings with the appearance of natural stones from a composition including a coloured or colourless thermoplastic resin matrix and, per 100 parts by volume of this matrix, 0.2 to 80 parts by volume of at least two fillers chosen from natural fibres, carbon fibres and mineral fillers having a different grain size or dimensions. By chosing the color of the matrix and the number, proportion, grain size and color of the different fillers, the general appearance and colors of a natural stone may be imitated. The mouldings obtained after working may be used due to their aesthetic appearance, particularly as packaging for cosmetic products.
