    摘要: The present invention relates to a high-performance silicone elastomer composition that is adhesive and that can be crosslinked at high temperature for the assembly of silicone-based substrates, both by platinum and peroxide catalysis, and that may lend itself to a strip conformation. The composition comprises at least one gum, one catalyst and one adhesion promoter of polyorganohydrogensiloxane type, the nature and the amount of said adhesion promoter having been chosen so that Si—H groups are in excess following the reaction for crosslinking the composition, so as to obtain a potential surface density of covalent Si— bonds with the silicone substrate to be bonded of at least one covalent Si— bond per 60 nm2.

    摘要: A solventless silicone pressure-sensitive adhesive composition is provided. The composition includes (A) a polyorganosiloxane with a polymerization degree of 300 to 2,000 and having at least two alkenyl group-containing organic groups, (B) a polyorganohydrosiloxane having at least three silicon-bonded hydrogen atoms, (C) a polydiorganosiloxane having alkenyl groups at both terminals, (D) a polydiorganosiloxane having SiH groups at both terminals, (E) a polyorganosiloxane composed of R23SiO1/2 units and SiO2 units (R2 is a monovalent hydrocarbon group), and (F) a platinum-based catalyst. The composition enables the prevention of problems caused by residual or volatilized organic substances, such as the absorption of ultraviolet radiation or the like, and also enables ready removal of the composition without deforming or damaging the adherend.

    摘要: A self-healing coating includes a polymer matrix, a polymerizer, and a set of capsules containing a corresponding activator for the polymerizer. The polymerizer may be present in another set of capsules, or the polymerizer may be phase separated from the polymer matrix. The coating may be prepared by depositing a coating composition on a substrate and solidifying the coating composition, where the coating composition includes the polymerizer, the activator capsules and a matrix precursor. A combination of polymerizer capsules and activator capsules may be part of a kit, which may be used to provide self-healing properties to a coating. The polymerizer and the activator may be wet-curable, and coatings containing the polymerizer and activator may be able to self-heal when in contact with water.
