摘要: A wireless communication system includes: a filter; and a semiconductor chip including a signal processing integrated circuit having an amplifier, wherein a main surface of the semiconductor chip is provided with a plurality of electrode terminals along an edge portion thereof; wherein the amplifier has a transistor including a control electrode, a first electrode through which a signal is outputted, and a second electrode to which a voltage is applied; wherein the control electrode, the first electrode and the second electrode of the transistor are connected to the electrode terminals, respectively; and wherein none of wirings are arranged between the electrode terminals and placements of the control electrode, the first electrode and the second electrode, making space between the electrodes and the electrode terminals narrow.

摘要: A radio frequency tuner is provided having inputs for receiving signals in common or overlapping frequency ranges from distribution networks. Each input is connected to a respective first converter, for example performing upconversion to a first intermediate frequency above the RF frequency ranges of the incoming signals. The first frequency changers are arranged to be active one at a time. The outputs of the first frequency changers are supplied to a second frequency changer which performs downconversion on the output signal of the active first converter to convert a selected channel from one of the distribution networks to a second intermediate frequency. Sufficient RF isolation may therefore be provided without requiring mechanical switching components such as RF relays.

摘要: An adaptable, generalized digital predistortion system that can increase the accuracy of the distortion applied to a power amplifier input signal is disclosed. Further, the digital predistortion system can be implemented using a reduced circuit area by reducing a number of coefficients used by the models applied to generate the distortion compensation signal. Further, the system can implement an improved digital predistortion adaptation engine that can improve one or more of the following metrics of a complete radio frequency (RF) analog front-end radio signal chain: error vector magnitude (EVM), adjacent channel leakage ratio (ACLR), spectrum emission mask (SEM), and power consumption of the circuits and systems. An example of circuits and systems is a radio frequency power amplifier (PA).

摘要: In a radar system, an intermediate frequency amplifier (IFA) is configured with two high-pass filter stages, each having an amplifier and a configurable impedance component. A control signal is activated as the radar system begins to transmit a chirp signal to lower the impedance of the configurable impedance components during an initial portion of the chirp transmission to achieve faster settling of the IFA output signal. After the initial portion, the control signal deactivates while transmission of the chirp continues to increase the impedance of the configurable impedance components to a level sufficient to effectively perform filtering of unwanted signals received by the radar system.

摘要: A fixed wireless access network provides for high-frequency data links between aggregation nodes and endpoint nodes. The system further provides for lower frequency wireless data links, which have carrier frequencies less than high-frequency wireless data links. These lower frequency links provide for auxiliary communications between the aggregation nodes and one or more endpoint nodes. During normal operation, the nodes exchange packet data via the high-frequency data links. However, when impairment of the high-frequency data links is detected, the nodes direct the packet data over the low-frequency data links instead until the high-frequency data links are no longer impaired.

摘要: A method for transmitting a message from a first node device to a second node device in which the second node device belongs to network neighborhood of the first node device. The first and second node devices belong to an electrical supply network using powerline communications. The first node device begins by fragmenting the message into at least a first fragment and a second fragment. Next it associates a first frequency band of a set of frequency bands with the first fragment and a second frequency band with the second fragment, the first and second frequency bands being different. It then transmits each first and second fragment on the frequency band with which it is associated.

The transmitter circuit transmits, as an input signal, either a first signal of a rectangular waveform having a logic level that changes according to first data, or a second signal having a slope that changes corresponding to second data.
