Abstract: A light emitting diode (LED) emergency light with transportation mode includes an alternating current (AC)-direct current (DC) LED driving circuit, a light source, and an emergency module, wherein the emergency module includes a battery, the AC-DC LED driving circuit is electrically connected to a terminal of the light source, and the emergency module is electrically connected to another terminal of the light source. After the emergency module generates a transportation mode signal, the LED emergency light enters the transportation mode, and a power supply circuit within the emergency module utilizing the battery to drive the light source is turned off according to the transportation mode signal. Therefore, after the LED emergency light enters the transportation mode, current consumption of the LED emergency light is decreased significantly, so the present invention greatly extends storage time of the LED emergency light during a transportation and warehouse process of the LED emergency light.

Abstract: A multi-stage, plant growing system is configured for high density growth and crop yields and includes among other things, towers or vertical growth columns, an enclosed controlled environmental growth chamber, interchangeable growth modules, and control systems capable of machine learning wherein the crops are optimally spaced and continually staged in their planting cycles utilizing special growth modules to provide an accelerated and continuous annual production yield. A vertical growth tower for vertical farming comprising a plurality of growth modules, each growth module comprising an enclosure configured to securely hold at least one plant; a drain aperture in the enclosure; and at least one lateral growth opening in the enclosure configured to permit and to encourage lateral growth of the at least one plant away from the enclosure; wherein one or more of the growth modules is configured to stackably support one or more of the other growth modules above and/or below itself within the vertical growth tower.

Abstract: This disclosure relates to a method of detecting an occupancy state of a living space for controlling lighting apparatus. The method comprises using a motion sensor to send wave signal and detect echoed signal reflected from a moving human body and using a control circuitry operated with a software program to analyze the echoed signal for establishing a numerical value account. In referring to preset parameters, the software program judges the echoed signal by analyzing time duration and frequency pattern of the echoed signal as an incoming motion, an outgoing motion or a local random motion, such that the numerical value account is accordingly updated to represent actual occupant number for activating the controller circuitry to turn on or turn off the lighting apparatus.

Abstract: An electronic device including a submersion detector, illuminants, a lighting circuit, a controller, and an orientation detector. The submersion detector detects submersion of the device and detect retrieval of the device. The illuminants are arranged inside a casing such that at least one of the illuminants is visible from above water when the device is submerged in any submersion orientation. The lighting circuit lights up at least one of the illuminants in response to an input of a lighting signal. The controller generates and outputs the lighting signal to the lighting circuit for a period of time from the submersion at least until the retrieval so as to light up the at least one of the illuminants. The orientation detector detects a submersion orientation of the device. Only the at least one of the illuminants that is visible from above water lights up, in accordance with the detected submersion orientation.

Abstract: The present invention refers to a lighting device (10) and a method of operating this lighting device (10). A lighting module (13) having a light element series connection (15) of several semiconductor light elements (14) is connected to the output (12) of a drive circuit (11). The control means (20) is provided which is configured to adapt a heating condition if a heating requirement is fulfilled. In the heating condition a heating means (26) is activated by the control means (20) to heat the lighting module. The heating requirement is fulfilled when the temperature (T) of the lighting module (13) drops down to a minimum temperature value (Tmin). In so doing an undesired increase of the forward voltage (Vf) of the light element series connection (15) can be avoided.
