    摘要: Disclosed is a multi-layer composite body comprising a flexible auxiliary support and separating layer disposed on at least one side of the auxiliary support, which modifies the complete separation or the locally determined detachment of a functional layer which is in the superficial contact thereto. Said body is characterized in that the separating layer contains a continuous phase and a particle-like filling material in a concentration of approximately 0.01 to 50 wt. % with respect to the separating layer wherein the surface of the filling particles is completely covered by the continuous phase, the continuous phase contains reticulated polyorganosiloxane and the surface of the separation layer that lies opposite to the auxiliary support has a surface roughness of approximately 400 to 50,000 nm and a mean roughness value of approximately 40 to 5,000 nm. The functional layer can be removed from the auxiliary support with minimal effort or exhibits a desirable matte surface after being separated from the auxiliary support.

    摘要: A multilayer intumescent mat or sheet is useful for mounting a pollution control device or as a firestop. In one aspect, the multilayer intumescent sheet of the invention comprises a non-moldable flexible non-intumescent layer and a non-moldable flexible intumescent layer comprising an intumescent material wherein the layers form a single sheet without the use of auxiliary bonding means. The mat desirably includes a significant proportion of inorganic fiber containing shot, and small proportions of shot-free inorganic fiber and intumescent material. In another aspect, the multilayer intumescent sheet of the invention comprises a first non-moldable intumescent layer comprising a first intumescent material and a second non-moldable intumescent layer comprising a second intumescent material, the first and second intumescent materials being different, wherein the layers form a single sheet without the use of auxiliary bonding means. The invention also provides a pollution control device comprising a multilayer sheet of the invention disposed between a monolith and a housing.

    摘要: A resin-coated metal sheet in which at least one surface is overlaid by a paint layer E, a modified olefin resin layer D of 5 to 100 microns thickness, a pattern or/and solid decorative layer C, an adhesive layer B, and a transparent polyester resin film A of 5 to 10 microns thickness. The modified polyolefin resin layer provided between the transparent polyester resin film and the metal sheet has excellent adhesiveness against the decorative layer, the paint layer and the polyesters resin film so that delamination of the resin-coated metal sheet does not occur even in the case in which the resin-coated metal sheet is formed under severe conditions such as deep drawing. The modified polyolefin layer absorbs any unevenness of the component layers so that the resin-coated metal sheet exhibits excellent reflectivity.

    摘要: A coated housing for exterior rearview mirrors for vehicles provides increased gloss and depth of color in appearance, and enhanced resistance to scratching, surface crazing and ultraviolet radiation degradation. The housing is preferably molded from a resinous plastic material in a predetermined color and has a generally transparent polymeric material such as clear urethane or acrylic applied in a thin coating to the unpainted housing. The generally transparent coating may include a tint or particles of metal or mica to enhance the molded housing color and/or appearance. Optionally, adhesion of the coating to the housing may be increased by mixing an adhesion promoting agent in said resinous plastic material prior to molding, or by treating the housing surface after molding and prior to application of the coating. An ultraviolet radiation absorbing, blocking, screening material may be included in the generally transparent polymeric material. A method for making the coated exterior rearview mirror housing is also disclosed.
