Abstract: The assembly comprises a body wherein there are defined a chamber, a supply valve adapted to connect the chamber to a pressure source or to the atmosphere, and a vent valve adapted to allow or prevent the connection of the chamber to the atmosphere. The valves are provided with control solenoids to which respective electronic switches are coupled. The assembly also comprises electronic control devices adapted to provide, as a function of the values of at least one input signal, logic control signals to the electronic switches so as to control, through the valves, the value of the pressure in the chamber. The control means comprise two processing and control devices independent of one another, both receiving the input signal and designed to execute strategies for controlling the pressure in the chamber, equivalent to one another.

Abstract: Engine anti-idling and restart may be implemented in a machine having a power source, a movable work tool, a pump driven by the power source, an actuator receiving fluid from the pump and moving the work tool, a high-pressure fluid reservoir, and an assist motor operatively connected to the power source. Engine restart may include detecting operator input to start the power source, and fluidly connecting the fluid reservoir to the assist motor to assist in starting the power source in response to detecting the operator input. Prior to shutting down the power source during anti-idling, fluid from the pump may be input to the assist motor, pressurized and communicated to the high-pressure fluid reservoir in response to determining that idle condition exists and a reservoir charge pressure is less than a reservoir minimum restart pressure needed to restart the power source.

Abstract: A system for storing and releasing hydraulic energy having a controller, a pressure source, a bidirectional valve fluidly connected to the pressure source, an expandable vessel fluidly connected to the bidirectional valve having a plurality of axial folds between first and second ends, and a bidirectional port connected to the pressure source. As the plurality of axial folds expand, a contracted volume of pressure expands increasing stored hydraulic fluid energy in the expandable vessel. As the plurality of axial folds contract, the expanded volume reduces, releasing stored hydraulic fluid energy to nearby subsea equipment on demand as changes in hydraulic fluid energy requirements for the subsea equipment changes. Simultaneously, hydrostatic seawater pressure of seawater on the expandable vessel is counteracted with the hydrostatic pressure of fluid inside the expandable vessel.

Abstract: An industrial vehicle includes a hydraulic brake device, a hydraulic load handling device, a first hydraulic circuit, a second hydraulic circuit, a pressure compensating circuit, and a controller. The controller sets an electromagnetic valve to a first position during operation of the load handling device. The controller sets the electromagnetic valve to a second position and controls an electric motor to drive a hydraulic pump when determining that pressure needs to be accumulated in a hydraulic accumulator based on a detection result of a detector. When the electromagnetic valve is at the second position, hydraulic pressure generated by driving the hydraulic pump is applied to a pressure compensating valve and produces a force acting in a direction to disconnect the hydraulic pump and an oil tank from each other, so that hydraulic pressure is generated in a first oil passage to be accumulated in the hydraulic accumulator.
