Abstract: A system for centralized automatic bias control for a plurality of modulators, including a coupler for coupling output of each of the plurality of modulators to generate a combined modulator output. A pilot insertion device inserts a pilot tone into each of the plurality of modulators such that a different pilot tone frequency is inserted for each of the plurality of modulators. A monitoring device iteratively monitoring power (Pt) of each inserted pilot tone over time to determine whether a current modulator bias is optimal for each of the plurality of modulators, and an adjuster device iteratively adjusts the modulator bias for each of the plurality of modulators for which the current modulator bias is determined to be sub-optimal until a threshold condition has been met.

Abstract: A system for traffic management between a WiFi network and an LTE network that includes a network interface assignment module for determining from an operator side of the WiFi network and the LTE network a set of WiFi Access Points (APs) and LTE base stations for each user that provides a least a highest quality of experience for each of the users using input strength for all users to potential WiFi access points and LTE base stations. The system may further include an interface switching service (ISS) module that includes a control logic and a network HTTP proxy for delivering network switching instructions to devices of users. The control logic receiving instructions from the NIA module and sending signal to the devices of the users to switch from WIFI and LTE networks through the LTE network based upon signal strength of the users.

Abstract: A wavelength division multiplexing system and method featuring a wavelength monitor that is configured to receive a portion of a combined signal of wavelength division multiplexing channels and determine the wavelengths of each channel or the guardband between each channel in the combined signal. The wavelength monitor determines if there is excess laser drift for each channel in the combined signal. If excess laser drift is determined, feedback is sent to the transmitter for the signal with excess laser drift and the signal is adjusted to produce a target wavelength. The wavelength monitor may utilize optical intradyning in order to monitor the wavelengths of each channel in the combined signal.

Abstract: A system and method for remote object sensing which features a spatially polarization-inhomogeneous light beam that is directed on the remote object. A polarimetry receiver receives the light beam after it contacts the remote object. The changes in the spatially polarization-inhomogeneous light beam from contacting the remote object are a result of spatial features of the remote object. The polarimetry receiver is configured to measure the spatially inhomogeneous electric field of the light beam after it contacts the remote object and compute the changes in the spatially polarization-inhomogeneous light beam in order to detect spatial features of the remote object. The system obtains high-resolution, real-time information concerning important spatial features of the remote object.
