Abstract:
The present invention relates generally to multimedia, and more specifically, to a system and method of improved television viewing using automatic parallel recording of television channels. The invention continuously captures and records multimedia content for a set of “channels” in a central location, buffering all available channels for a number of days or weeks on a continuous basis. The buffered programming may then be streamed over a network such as the Internet on request, to the viewer's premises where it can be viewed on request via an appropriate display device such as a television equipped with an IP-enabled set top box or on a personal computer.

A shoe structure with heating function comprising a vamp, outsole, power wires and heat conductive liquid. The outsole has two electrical conductive slices, heat conductive liquid or heat conductive powder liquid internally; an outer charger shell, an inner charger shell, a temperature control and input connectors are installed on one side of the outsole; an indentation slot is on the outer charger shell; one end of the power wires is a power plug, the other end is a charging connector and output connectors. Based on the structure described above, the electrical conductive slices convert electrical power into heat in the heat conductive liquid to keep feet warm, also achieves sterilization, shock-absorb and deodorization effects.

The method prevents an optical disk from being scraped by an optical apparatus of a pickup head of an optical disc drive is disclosed, it mainly includes: moving the optical apparatus of the pickup head to a detection position in which the laser-light emitted from the pickup head focuses on the optical disk; detecting the first-detection position and setting a movement boundary according to the first-detection position, wherein the movement boundary has a upper boundary and a bottom boundary; preventing the optical apparatus from moving out of the movement boundary. The present method can be implemented without installing any additional apparatus in the original video disc player, and can prevent the optical disk and the inner apparatus of the optical disc drive from being scraped or damaged by the pickup head during a read/write process to increase the service life of the optical disk and the optical disc drive.

An LED lamp uses a plurality of LEDs as a light source. The LED lamp has a casing, a conduction layer, a PCB, a plurality of LED and a drive electronics. The conduction layer is placed in an inner of the casing. The conduction layer is metal, copper or aluminum, or nonmetal, silica gel or mica, for conducting the heat of the PCB caused by the current heating effects. The PCB placed on an upper surface of the conduction layer is for mounting the LED. Each LED is electrically connected to the PCB by way of shunt winding or in series for providing a light source. The drive electronics is electrically connected to the PCB for driving color rendering.
Abstract:
An optical coupling apparatus for a dual column charged particle beam tool allowing both optical imaging of an area of an integrated circuit, as well as localized heating of the integrated circuit to form silicide. In one embodiment, optical paths from a whitelight source and a laser source are coupled together by way of first and second beam splitters so that a single optical port of the dual column tool may be utilized for both imaging and heating. In another embodiment, a single laser source is employed to provide both illumination for standard microscopy-type imaging, as well as localized heating. In a third embodiment, a single laser source provides heating along with localized illumination for confocal scanning microscopy-type imaging.

A process for manufacturing a pixel array of top-emitting OLED pixel is provided. The process comprises: providing a substrate having at least two poly-silicon islands defined thereon, and defining an implantation region on the substrate; forming a gate insulator layer and a gate metal layer sequentially, and then defining a gate; carrying out an implantation process for forming the doped region; forming an inter-layer dielectric (ILD) layer and etching a plurality of contact holes thereon; forming a source/drain metal layer and defining a source/drain pattern thereon; wherein the patterned source/drain metal layer extends to the pixel array of the top-emitting OLED so as to be employed as a bottom electrode of the top-emitting OLED. The characteristic of the present invention is that the bottom electrode is substantially the portion of the source/drain extending to the pixel array of the top-emitting OLED, so that the array manufacturing can save at least two masks.

The present invention relates generally to a fastener module for portable computers that is disposed on the host of a portable computer to fasten the LCD with the host of the portable computer, no matter whether the LCD of the portable computer is closed directly or after rotating 180 degrees; the fastener module has a pivotable eccentric hook rod with a normal horizontal position under the effect of an elastic component when not being affected by magnetic effect, when the LCD closes on the host of the computer, both sides of the hook rod are affected by the magnetic effect of the magnetic component on the LCD; since the pivot of the hook rod is designed eccentrically, the magnetic moment generated by the magnetic effect for each side of the hook rod is different, so that the hook rod changes it position instantly from normal horizontal state to vertical state and hooks in the opening of the LCD to fasten the LCD onto the host of the portable computer.

An LED lamp is enabled to evenly emit lights, and is provided with a single set of indicators to provide different colors of light, and as least comprises a tubular case, a circuit board and at least an LED. The inner wall of the tubular case has a rough, light-homogenizing layer disposed thereon. The circuit board is provided together with a control unit on the bottom of the tubular case. The color mixing LED is provided on the circuit board.

The present invention provides methods and compositions for carbohydrate encapsulated nanoparticle based mass spectrometry. For example, the present invention provides methods of screening samples for carbohydrate binding molecules, methods of characterizing carbohydrate binding epitopes in target molecules, and MALDI matrix compositions comprising carbohydrate encapsulated nanoparticles.
Abstract:
Apparatus and method for exposing a selected feature of an integrated circuit device such as a selected portion of the metallization layer, from the backside of the integrated circuit substrate without disturbing adjacent features of the device such as the active semiconductor regions. This is performed using an FIB (focused ion beam) etching process in conjunction with observation by an optical microscope to form a trench through the substrate. The process includes a precise optical endpointing technique to monitor the remaining thickness of the semiconductor substrate at the floor of the trench. It is important to terminate etching of the trench so that the trench floor extends as close to the active semiconductor structures as desired and yet is not detrimental to device operation. This is done without introducing a need for any additional tool. This is carried out using an infra-red optical technique which observes the interference fringes generated by the reflections from the silicon substrate surface and from semiconductor device circuitry layers to quantify the remaining semiconductor substrate thickness in the trench.
