摘要:
An etchant includes about 0.1 percent by weight to about 30 percent by weight of ammonium persulfate (NH4)2S2O8, about 0.1 percent by weight to about 10 percent by weight of an inorganic acid, about 0.1 percent by weight to about 10 percent by weight of an acetate salt, about 0.01 percent by weight to about 5 percent by weight of a fluorine-containing compound, about 0.01 percent by weight to about 5 percent by weight of a sulfonic acid compound, about 0.01 percent by weight to about 2 percent by weight of an azole compound, and a remainder of water. Accordingly, the etchant may have high stability to maintain etching ability. Thus, manufacturing margins may be improved so that manufacturing costs may be reduced.

Polyimide-based polymers and copolymers thereof are provided. Further provided is a positive type photoresist composition comprising at least one of the polyimide-based polymers and copolymers thereof as a binder resin. The photoresist composition exhibits high resolution, high sensitivity, excellent film characteristics and improved mechanical properties, which are required for the formation of semiconductor buffer coatings.

An LCD apparatus including a first member, a second member, a liquid crystal layer and an optical film assembly is presented. A phase delay of the optical film assembly is about −α. In a normally white mode, the phase delay of the liquid crystal layer is about (λ/2)+α when no voltage is applied and about “α” when voltage is applied. In a normally black mode, the phase delay of the liquid crystal layer is about “α” when no voltage is applied, and about (λ/2)+α when voltage is applied. The phase delay between the liquid crystal layer when voltage is applied and the liquid crystal layer when voltage is not applied is about λ/2. “α” is a positive number. By manipulating the value of α, power consumption can be reduced. For example, the apparatus can be driven with a voltage below 2.5 V.

A block copolymer of a polyimide and a polyamic acid is disclosed. Further disclosed are a method for producing the block copolymer and a positive type photosensitive composition comprising the block copolymer. The solubility of the photosensitive composition in an alkaline aqueous solution is controlled to achieve high resolution of a pattern. Further disclosed are a protective film of a semiconductor device and an ITO insulating film of an organic light emitting diode (OLED), which are formed using the block copolymer. The protective film and the ITO insulating film are very stable over time.

A developing apparatus includes an image receptor and a developing unit having a developing roller facing the image receptor. New toner can be added to the developing unit when existing toner in the developing unit is consumed. The added toner and existing toners are formed of cores and external additives. At least one of the cores or the external additives of the added toner is different from that of the existing toner. When the charge amount of the two toners are Q1 and Q2, respectively, the ratio Q1/Q2 is greater than 0.6 and smaller than 1.7, and the absolute values of Q1 and Q2 are 10 μC/g or greater, respectively.

In a liquid crystal display (LCD), a liquid crystal panel includes a plurality of subpixels. Source drivers drive source lines of the liquid crystal panel and gate drivers drive gate lines of the liquid crystal panel. A timing controller generates combination pixel data using current pixel data and previous pixel data, and supplies the generated combination pixel data to the source drivers. The previous pixel data is generated by delaying the current pixel data by a first time period.

The invention is directed to a liquid crystal display and assembly without a contact hole in the reflective layer. By eliminating the contact hole, the overall reflectance of the apparatus is increased. In order to prevent light leakage and afterimage, the invention includes an interface electrode that is strategically positioned over where light leakage occurs. An exemplary display apparatus includes a first substrate having a reflective region and a transmissive region including a transparent electrode, a second substrate including a transparent common electrode, a liquid crystal layer located between the first substrate and the second substrate, and a thin film transistor. The tin film transistor includes a gate electrode, a source electrode, and a drain electrode, and the gate electrode is located in the reflective region. Either the source electrode or the drain electrode contacts the transparent electrode between the reflective region and the transmissive region.
