摘要: Systems and methods for determining a layout for display of a dynamic document. The system and methods generally include a data processing system configured to determine an allotment of placement locations for supplemental content based on an identified size characteristic of principal content in a requested dynamic document. The data processing system determines a layout for display of the principal content and supplemental content objects according to the determined allotment of placement locations and provides the determined layout responsive to notification of the request. The data processing system may position placement locations for supplemental content according to the determined allotment of placement locations, positioning placement locations in regions inset within a principal content region, adjacent to a principal content region, in a region configured to remain within a view, or in a region configured to float above or around a principal content region.

摘要: A method of setting a threshold similarity score value for a first plurality of network user identifiers. The first plurality of network user identifiers, a second plurality of network user identifiers and characteristic data associated with the network user identifiers is received. A performance target and an experimental threshold similarity score value are designated. A similarity score between the first and second plurality of network user identifiers is calculated. Performance statistics data for each of the second plurality of network user identifiers having a similarity score greater than or equal to the experimental threshold similarity score value is collected and compared to the similarity score of the network user identifier. Based on the comparison, the experimental threshold similarity score value is adjusted to a similarity score value that achieves the performance target and the threshold similarity score value is set to the adjusted experimental threshold similarity score value.

摘要: A computerized method for determining a model refresh rate for a model representing a list of network user identifiers includes receiving a first and a second model representing the list at a first and a second time, respectively. Similarity between the first and second model is calculated. If the similarity is less than a threshold value, the model refresh rate is a predetermined rate. If the similarity is equal to or exceeds the threshold value, the model refresh rate is decreased to a less frequent rate. A similarity between a reference model and a selected model in a same content category may be calculated. If the similarity is less than a threshold value, the model refresh rate for the selected model is a predetermined rate. If the similarity is equal to or exceeds the threshold value, the model refresh rate for the reference model is applied to the selected model.

摘要: The present invention generally relates to nanoscale wires and tissue engineering. In various embodiments, cell scaffolds for growing cells or tissues can be formed that include nanoscale wires that can be connected to electronic circuits extending externally of the cell scaffold. The nanoscale wires may form an integral part of cells or tissues grown from the cell scaffold, and can even be determined or controlled, e.g., using various electronic circuits. This approach allows for the creation of fundamentally new types of functionalized cells and tissues, due to the high degree of electronic control offered by the nanoscale wires and electronic circuits. Accordingly, such cell scaffolds can be used to grow cells or tissues which can be determined and/or controlled at very high resolutions, due to the presence of the nanoscale wires, and such cell scaffolds will find use in a wide variety of novel applications, including applications in tissue engineering, prosthetics, pacemakers, implants, or the like.
