A user terminal is configured to execute processes of: receiving control information from a serving cell, the control information transmitted by a dedicated signaling to the user terminal, wherein the control information requests acquisition of device-to-device discovery parameters included in a system information block of different frequency than the serving cell, and the device-to-device discovery parameters include resource pool information used to device-to-device discovery; acquiring the device-to-device discovery parameters from a neighbor cell belonging to the different frequency designated by the control information; determining whether a valid period of the control information expires; and transmitting a message to the serving cell as long as within the valid period, the message including the device-to-device discovery parameters and an identifier of the different frequency.

A mobile communication system supports cellular communication in which a data path passes through a core network and D2D communication that is direct device-to-device communication in which the data path does not pass through the core network. The system comprises a communication apparatus that assigns a radio resource to a D2D terminal that performs the D2D communication, wherein the communication apparatus performs assignment determination as to whether a dedicated radio resource not shared with the cellular communication is assigned to the D2D terminal or a shared radio resource shared with the cellular communication is assigned to the D2D terminal.

The controller is configured to store a list in the memory, the list including at least one or more identifiers of Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) access points. The controller is further configured to execute a process of receiving first information from a node configured to connect to the WLAN access points. The first information includes at least one ore more identifiers of WLAN access points to be deleted from the list. The controller is further configured to update the list on a basis of the first information.

A communication control method according to the present invention is a method for allowing a cellular communication system to cooperate with a wireless LAN system. The communication control method comprises: a detecting step of detecting, by a user terminal having a cellular communication unit and a wireless LAN communication unit, that the user terminal is present near a small-cell base station; a recognizing step of recognizing, by the user terminal, that the small-cell base station is of a collocated type where the small-cell base station is disposed at a same location as a wireless LAN access point; and a scanning starting step of starting, by the user terminal, scanning for discovery of the wireless LAN access point, when the user terminal has recognized that the small-cell base station is of the collocated type and has not discovered the wireless LAN access point.

The UE performs a cellular/WLAN interworking to perform a switch between the first communication and the second communication.
