摘要： A discharge lamp having an enclosure in which a discharging gas is sealed, and a pair of electron-emitting members sealed in the enclosure and between which a voltage is applied. Each electron-emitting member has, at its surface, a plurality of conductive micro-tips and an electron-emitting film which supports the plurality of conductive micro-tips and is made of a material whose secondary emission efficiency is higher than that of the material for the conductive micro-tips with respect to the discharging gas.

摘要： A cold cathode discharge device with high efficiency of light emission and long life is prepared by a cold cathode having both high secondary electron emission and anti-spattering property.Using carbon system cold cathodes constituted of a mixed phase of diamond and graphite, a cold cathode discharge device with high efficiency of light emission and long life is realized. It is desirable that an element having a wavelength of light emission equal to or shorter than 200 nanometers should be mixed in the discharge gas.

摘要： A discharge electrode emitting electrons into a discharge gas, encompasses an emitter and current supply terminals configured to supply electric current to the emitter. The emitter embraces a wide bandgap semiconductor having at 300 K a bandgap of 2.2 eV or wider. Acceptor impurity atoms and donor impurity atoms being doped in the wide bandgap semiconductor, the activation energy of the donor impurity atoms being larger than the activation energy of the acceptor impurity atoms.

摘要： An opto-acoustoelectric device encompasses a diaphragm having a diffraction grating, the diaphragm is susceptible to a vibration driven by an external force; a light source oriented to irradiate the diffraction grating; and a photo detector configured to detect the light diffracted by the diffraction grating and to convert the detected light into an electric signal. The electric signal corresponds to a displacement of the vibration in the diaphragm.

摘要： In a method for producing a micro vacuum tube, a dent and an etching stopper layer are formed on one surface of a mold substrate. An emitter layer is deposited on the etching stopper layer and the mold substrate is removed so that the emitter layer has a protuberance covered with the etching stopper layer. Further, a gate electrode layer is formed on the etching stopper layer and the gate electrode layer and the etching stopper layer covering a tip of the protuberance is removed. An interposed insulator layer is formed on the gate electrode layer and the tip of the protuberance and an anode electrode layer is formed on the interposed insulator layer. The interposed insulator layer between the tip of the protuberance and the anode electrode layer is removed so that a space is formed between the tip and the anode electrode layer.

摘要： A lock device for locking a detachable roof to a car body, which a housing mounted to the detachable roof, the housing defining a certain clearance through which the interior of the housing is exposed to the outside of the housing; a handle lever including a base portion pivotally arranged in the housing and a grip portion projected into the outside of the housing, the base portion being formed with a curved guide slot which has at least a locking part; a lock member linked to the handle lever in such a manner that, when the handle lever is pivoted to a lock position, the lock member becomes operative and, when the handle lever is pivoted to an unlock position, the lock member becomes inoperative; a guide pin movably received in the housing and slidably engaged with the curved guide slot of the handle lever, the guide pin suppressing the handle lever from pivoting from the lock position toward the unlock position when received in the locking part of the guide slot; a slide member incorporated with the guide pin, the slide member being movable in a given direction to disengage the guide pin from the locking part; a lockable stopper which can assume a locking position to suppress the movement of the slide member in the given direction; and a wall member raised from the slide member in a manner to conceal the guide pin from the certain clearance.

The actuator has a fixed end at one end thereof and a free end for bending movement at the other end. An amplifier for supplying driving voltage to the actuator is an inverted amplifier, whose output terminal is connected to the shim, so that an output voltage is supplied to the inside electrodes. The outside electrode of the upper electrostriction board is connected to a power source (not shown) for supplying constant voltage to the amplifier, and the outside electrode of the lower electrostriction board is connected to a power source (not shown) for supplying constant voltage to the amplifier.
