Abstract: The invention is designed to diagnose cardiovascular system (CVS) based on at least 148 quantitative ECG parameters including Heart Rate Variability (HRV) ones. Parameters are rated to 100 points, divided into 7 groups with close physiological nature, 4 diagnostic criteria (evaluation of CVS regulation, myocardium state, emotion state, HR disorders) and complex index of functional state (CIFS) are calculated. Aggregated diagnostic and prognostic decision are made about the functional CVS state and psycho-emotional state by combining CIFS, Hannover (or other similar algorithm), Minnesota code, myocardial abnormalities codes, and prediction codes of serious cardiovascular events. The method increases the accuracy and reliability of diagnostics.

Abstract: A stand-on physiological sensor (e.g. floormat) measures vital signs and various hemodynamic parameters, including blood pressure and ECG waveforms. The sensor is similar in configuration to a common bathroom scale and includes electrodes that take electrical measurements from a patient's feet to generate bioimpedance waveforms, which are analyzed digitally to extract various other parameters, as well as a cuff-type blood pressure system that takes physical blood pressure measurements at one of the patient's feet. Blood pressure can also be calculated/derived from the bioimpedance waveforms. Measured parameters are transmitted wirelessly to facilitate remote monitoring of the patient for heart failure, chronic heart failure, end-stage renal disease, cardiac arrhythmias, and other degenerative diseases.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided to detect a multi-domain ECG waveform and display one or more cardiac electrophysiological markers. Electrical impulses are detected between at least one pair of electrodes adapted to be located near a beating heart and are converted to an ECG waveform. The ECG waveform for at least one heartbeat is received from the detector, the ECG waveform is converted to a frequency domain waveform, the frequency domain waveform is separated into two or more different frequency domain waveforms using two or more different bandpass filters, and the two or more different frequency domain waveforms are converted into two or more different time domain waveforms. The two or more different time domain waveforms are displayed in the same time domain plot as the ECG waveform and one or more cardiac electrophysiological markers are displayed along the x-axis of the two or more different time domain waveforms.

Abstract: A method and system for determining psychological acute stress are disclosed. In a first aspect, the method comprises detecting a physiological signal using a wireless sensor device, determining a stress feature using a normalized heart rate and a plurality of heart rate variability (HRV) features, wherein the normalized heart rate and the plurality of heart rate variability features are calculated using the detected physiological signal, and determining a stress level using the stress feature to determine the psychological acute stress. In a second aspect, the system comprises a wireless sensor device that includes a processor and a memory device coupled to the processor, wherein the memory device stores an application which, when executed by the processor, causes the wireless sensor device to carry out the steps of the method.

Abstract: Implantation of a cardiac stimulus system into the mediastinum using the ITV. Superior, intercostal, and inferior access methods are discussed and disclosed. Superior access may be performed using the brachiocephalic vein to access the ITV, with access to the brachiocephalic vein achieved using subclavian vein, using standard visualization techniques. Inferior access may be accomplished inferior to the lower rib margin via the superior epigastric vein. Intercostal access may include creating an opening in an intercostal space between two ribs and advancing a needle using ultrasound guidance. Once in the ITV, access is then made into the mediastinum for placement of at least a portion of a lead of the cardiac stimulus system therein.
