Abstract: A method and an operator control device operate an infotainment system. The operator control device has a control unit, an audio device, an actuating element, and a touch-sensitive display device, which is mounted so as to be movable and is designed to display at least one graphical control element. The touch-sensitive display device moves during an actuating action and thus activates the actuating element. The control unit determines an actuation position of the actuating action on the touch-sensitive display device when the actuating element is activated and compares said actuation position with a display position of the at least one graphical control element. The audio device is actuated to output an audible signal when the actuation position matches the display position.

Abstract: The invention is an apparatus used for providing control of functions of a vehicle in response to touch commands of an authorized passenger. The functions for which the authorized passenger is provided control are disallowed to the driver when the vehicle is moving. The passenger is authorized with two-factor authentication. The first of the two factors is the fingerprint of the passenger which is enrolled before vehicle movement. The second factor is the location of the passenger. The first factor is used when an occupant attempts to control disallowed functions. The second factor is used when an occupant attempts to enroll a fingerprint. A display panel displays a prompt to enroll a fingerprint before vehicle movement, uses a fingerprint interface to enroll an original fingerprint, and instantaneously captures fingerprints of those attempting to control disallowed functions and compares them to enrolled fingerprints.

Abstract: A system and method for object classification and related applications based on frame and event camera processing is provided. The system acquires an output of image sensor circuitry and determines a first object classification result based on feature points associated with first objects in a first frame of the acquired output. The system executes an event-camera signal processing operation on at least two frames of the acquired output to generate an event frame. The generated event frame includes pixel-level movement information associated with second objects. The system determines a second object classification result based on the pixel-level movement information and determines one or more object classification tags based on the determined first and the determined second object classification result. The determined one or more object classification tags correspond to one or more objects, included in at least the first objects and the second objects.
