    摘要: The invention relates to a composition for use in a Monosil process for the crosslinking of thermoplastic polyolefins which comprises (i) from 5 to 60% by weight content of 2-ethyl hexanoic acid [H3C(CH2)3CH(C2H5)COOH], (ii) content of at least one monounsaturated organofunctional alkoxysilane of the general formula I A-SiR2x(OR1)3-x   (I), where R1 is mutually independently a linear or branched hydrocarbon moiety having from 1 to 4 C atoms, R2 is methyl and x is 0 or 1 and A is a monovalent olefin group of the formula (R3)2C=C(R3)-Mk-, where k is 0 or 1, in which groups R3 are identical or different and R3 is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group and the group M is a group from the following list: —CH2—, —(CH2)2—, —(CH2)3— and —C(O)O—(CH2)3—, (iii) content of at least one free-radical generator and (iv) optionally content of at least one other component, where the entirety of all components (i) to (iv) gives 100% by weight. The present invention further relates to a production process, and also to mouldings or products obtainable thereby based on thermoplastic polyolefins, where a composition of the invention is reacted together with at least one thermoplastic polyolefin in a Monosil process. The invention further relates to the use of a composition of the invention in the Monosil process for the crosslinking of thermoplastic polyolefins during the production of products moulded by means of extrusion, based on thermoplastic polyolefins.

The thermoplastic resin composition can exhibit excellent properties in terms of impact resistance, heat resistance, scratch resistance, surface gloss, mar resistance, and the like.

    摘要: The present invention provides curable compositions that are free of metal catalysts including both tin and non-tin metal catalysts. The curable compositions employ a catalyst comprising curable polymers having reactive terminal silyl groups. In particular, a silylated carboxylic acid is an alternative to organotin or other metal catalysts. In addition, the catalyst may be used with an amino-containing adhesion promoter or a mixture of amine-containing adhesion promoters and an amino-containing siloxane. The combination of these materials accelerates the condensation curing of moisture curable silicones/non-silicones even in the absence of a metal-based catalyst.

    摘要: A composite article includes a substrate and a protective coating on at least a portion of the substrate. The protective coating includes reinforcement particles dispersed within an elastomeric matrix that is modified with a silicon-containing modifier selected from polysilsesquioxane, polyhedral oligomeric silicate, polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (POSS), and combinations thereof. The reinforcement particles are selected from carbon, nickel metal, and combinations thereof. The protective coating is multi-layered and includes a distinct first layer and a distinct second layer that is contiguous with the distinct first layer such that each of the distinct first layer and the distinct second layer have an exposed outer surface.
