摘要: A semiconductor device is provided that includes a semiconductor channel region extending above a semiconductor substrate in a longitudinal direction between a semiconductor source region and a semiconductor drain region, and a gate region extending in the transverse direction, coating the channel region, and insulated from the channel region. The source, channel, and drain regions are formed in a continuous semiconductor layer that is approximately plane and parallel to the upper surface of the substrate. Additionally, the source, drain, and gate regions are coated in an insulating coating so as to provide electrical insulation between the gate region and the source and drain regions, and between the substrate and the source, drain, gate, and channel regions. Also provided is an integrated circuit that includes such a semiconductor device, and a method for manufacturing such a semiconductor device.

摘要: A method produces a shopping list consisting of one or more items, wherein at least one item in the shopping list is a perishable item. The method operates in an e-commerce site and includes the steps of: storing one or more consumer shopping lists of respective consumers at the e-commerce site; storing a list of items previously purchased by one or more consumers from the e-commerce site; receiving a request from a consumer for at least one consumer shopping list; and determining if the request from the consumer is from a consumer that has previously purchased one or more perishable items from the e-commerce site. If the consumer has previously purchased one or more perishable items from the e-commerce site, then the method performs the sub-steps of: reviewing if any items previously purchased are perishable items with expiration dates; and adding to the at least one consumer shopping list one or more perishable items that have exceeded a predefined expiration date range. Additionally, a computer readable medium and a system are disclosed corresponding to the method above.

摘要: During manufacturing of optical disks, mastering equipment inserts marks (“high frequency wobble marks” or “HFWMs”) into the wobble of the groove on optical disks to store data. The presence of a HFWM at a zero crossing of the wobble indicates an active bit and the absence of the HFWM indicates an inactive bit. The zero crossing is, for example, a negative zero crossing. A matched filter is used to detect the shape of the HFWMs. If a HFWM is detected during a wobble cycle, an active bit is saved in a register or a memory. If a HFWM is not detected during a wobble cycle, an inactive bit is saved in a register or a memory. The active and inactive bits may be coded bits that must be decoded to data bits. The data bits include information such as a synchronization mark, a sector identification data, and an error detection code.

摘要: A system, method and computer readable medium for providing a standby file system with snapshot feature is disclosed. A first snapshot of a primary file system is generated. Next, a standby file system restores the first snapshot of the primary file system in the standby file system and a snapshot of the standby file system is taken. Then, a second snapshot of the primary file system is taken and a data set capturing the differences between the first snapshot of the primary file system and a previous data set of the primary file system is generated. Subsequently, the data set is applied to the standby file system. Upon unavailability of the primary file system, the standby file system is initialized as the new primary file system. Upon recovery of the old primary file system, the old primary file system is initialized as a new standby file system.

摘要: The activation of programmed sequences to be executed iteratively is monitored by the sequences themselves. Each monitoring program sequence includes the additional function of monitoring at least one other sequence. The sequences can be in the form of routines, e.g. interrupt routines, and main program loops normally implemented in a programmed system. For instance, each programmed sequence performs the monitoring function by incrementing a value in a respective counter associated with each programmed sequence it monitors and by checking, for each counter, that the corresponding value has not reached a predetermined threshold. Each monitored programmed sequence resets the counter associated therewith. A failure in the activation of a particular programmed sequence is detected when a counter associated with that sequence reaches a predetermine threshold. The invention also relates to a computer program and a programmed apparatus implementing this concept.
