摘要: Systems and methods are configured for power distribution in a hybrid fixed-wing VTOL drone aircraft. A drone aircraft includes two modes of operation. In a first mode of operation, the internal combustion engine is shut off while an electric motor-based VTOL system provides lift and thrust. In a second mode of operation, an internal combustion engine provides thrust while a set of fixed wings provide lift. In the second mode of operation, mechanical power from the internal combustion engine provides for power generation to charge an electrical battery to power the electric motor-based VTOL system.

摘要: A device for delivery of a first therapeutic agent and a second therapeutic agent to a site in epithelial tissue includes a first layer having a first, freeze-dried polymeric matrix having first and second opposed surfaces, formed by a composition including chitosan, a hydration promoter, a particle adhesion inhibitor, and a particle aggregation inhibitor, and a plurality of first particles embedded within the first matrix so as to be directly surrounded by, and in contact with, the first matrix, the first particles containing the first therapeutic agent and having a coating around the first therapeutic agent, the coating including chitosan. The device further includes a second layer, adjacent to the first layer, having a second, freeze-dried polymeric matrix containing the second therapeutic agent, the first layer and/or the second layer is configured to be attached to the site in the epithelial tissue.

摘要: Surgical systems are provided. In one exemplary embodiment, a surgical system includes first and second port devices, that are each configured to be at least partially disposed within a body. The first port device includes a first housing defining a first plurality of ports each configured to allow a respective instrument of a first set of instruments to be inserted therethrough. The first port device is configured to interact with at least one respective instrument that is inserted through its respective port. The second port device is configured to interact with at least one respective instrument that is inserted through its respective port. The first and second port devices are each configured to allow at least a portion of the first set of instruments and at least a portion of the second set of instruments to work cooperatively together. Methods for using the same are also provided.

In one embodiment, a method for customizing a building floor plan comprises: at an electronic device with a display: receiving a request to modify one or more building components of a base plan associated with a building; in response to receiving the request to modify the one or more building components, determining whether the request to modify the one or more building components satisfy one or more compliance requirements; in accordance with a determination that the request to modify the one or more building components satisfy one or more compliance requirements: displaying, on the display, an updated base plan incorporating the request to modify the one or more building components; and in accordance with a determination that the request to modify the one or more building components is non-compliant, not updating of the base plan in accordance with the requested modification.

摘要: A metering device for granular material, such as seed or fertilizer, is arranged to deliver the granular material in adjustable quantities, where the metering device includes a metering housing, a drivable metering wheel arranged in the metering housing, and a movable shut-off valve, where the metering housing includes a metering cover that can be moved to different positions and a lock that is associated with the metering cover. The position of the shut-off valve can prevent the lock from being actuated so that the metering cover cannot be opened.

摘要: Various systems and methods are provided for surgical and interventional planning, support, post-operative follow-up, and functional recovery tracking. In general, a patient can be tracked throughout medical treatment including through initial onset of symptoms, diagnosis, non-surgical treatment, surgical treatment, and recovery from the surgical treatment. In one embodiment, a patient and one or more medical professionals involved with treating the patient can electronically access a comprehensive treatment planning, support, and review system. The system can provide recommendations regarding diagnosis, non-surgical treatment, surgical treatment, and recovery from the surgical treatment based on data gathered from the patient and the medical professional(s). The system can manage the tracking of multiple patients, thereby allowing for data comparison between similar aspects of medical treatments and for learning over time through continual data gathering, analysis, and assimilation to decision-making algorithms.

摘要: The present invention relates to ligation and/or assembly of nucleic acid molecules. Particularly, a double-stranded target nucleic acid having overhangs of at least one nucleotide is ligated with another nucleic acid molecule capable of forming a stem-loop structure with an overhang of at least one nucleotide. The invention is suitable for tagging nucleic acid molecules. In specific embodiments, the overhangs can be produced by chemical cleavage of phosphorothioate-modified nucleic acid molecules. The invention further relates to the amplification of the ligated product, and using the resultant amplicon for assembly of multiple nucleic acid fragments.
