Abstract: An apparatus of a wireless communications device to transmit a sounding announcement frame (SAF) for use in a round-trip estimation to a receiving station, and associated method are provided. The apparatus is configured to encode an encoded field of the SAF that is one of a frame control field (FCF) or a sounding dialog token field (SDTF) of a null data packet announcement (NDPA) packet that forms the SAF to indicate to the receiving station that a communication different from a trigger frame may follow. The apparatus is also configured to configure the wireless device to transmit the NDPA packet to one or more stations.

Abstract: This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices related to null data packet (NDP) frame format. A device may cause to send a null data packet announcement (NDPA) frame to a responding station device (RSTA). The device may cause to send a first sounding NDP frame comprising one or more fields formatted to support 2.4 gigahertz (GHz) and 5 GHz bands in a non-trigger-based ranging measurement with the RSTA. The device may identify after a passage of a short inter-frame space (SIFS) time a second NDP frame received from the RSTA. The device may identify a location measurement report frame from the RSTA.

Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, and computer readable media for report identification and power control for ranging in a wireless network are disclosed. An apparatus of a responding station (RSTA) is disclosed, where the apparatus comprises processing circuitry configured to perform ranging with a initiating stations (ISTAs) and maintain a separate sounding dialogue token for each of the ISTAs and transmit a corresponding sounding dialogue token for a ISTA in a trigger frame for ranging and sounding or a null data packet announcement (NDPA) frame, and in a responding to initiating location measurement report. Apparatuses of RSTAs and ISTAS are disclosed that perform power control management during non-trigger-based ranging.

Abstract: The present disclosure includes systems and methods for reducing intra-cell interference during uplink MU-MIMO. An uplink grant that allocates a plurality of resource blocks is obtained. A first portion of the plurality of RBs that are overlapping with a set of RBs granted to a second UE is determined. A second portion of the plurality of RBs that are non-overlapping with the set of RBs granted to the second UE is also determined. A first demodulation reference signal (DMRS) sequence is generated for the first portion of the plurality of RBs. A second DMRS sequence is generated for the second portion of the plurality of RBs, where the second DMRS sequence is different than the first DMRS sequence. An uplink transmission (e.g., PUCCH, PUSCH) is generated that includes RBs having different DMRS sequences.

Abstract: A method for selecting at least one parameter for downlink data transmission with a mobile user equipment. The method is executable by a wireless communication base station having multiple antennas configured to communicate wirelessly with the mobile user equipment. The method receives an uplink probing signal from the mobile user equipment. The method determines a plurality of angles of arrival for a corresponding plurality of paths between the mobile user equipment and the multiple antennas. The method transmits a plurality of downlink probing signals directionally toward corresponding angles of arrival in the plurality of angles of arrival. Each downlink probing signal is a virtual antenna port with respect to the mobile user equipment. The method receives channel state information. The method composes at least one of a rank indicator (RI), precoding matrix indicator (PMI), or modulating and coding scheme (MCS) for downlink data transmission to the mobile user equipment.

The method may include receiving a block acknowledgement request from the second wireless communication device The method may include sending a block acknowledgement to the second wireless communication device using MU-MIMO.

The third logic may be further configured to: receive information in a first communication mode that a code challenge will be issued, receive a code challenge in the second communication mode and pair the mobile device with the wireless equipment.

Abstract: Technology for an enhanced Node B (eNB) operable to map an enhanced physical downlink control channel (ePDCCH) to physical resource blocks in a radio frame is disclosed. The eNB can map modulated symbols in the ePDCCH to at least one control channel element (CCE). The eNB can map the at least one CCE to resource elements located in a plurality of physical resource blocks that are distributed in a subframe. The eNB can apply the mapping to control data for scheduling to form an ePDCCH. The eNB can process the ePDCCH for communication to a user equipment (UE).
