    摘要: According to one embodiment, a non-aqueous electrolyte battery includes an outer container, a positive electrode housed in the outer container, a negative electrode housed in the outer container such as to spatially apart from the positive electrode and includes a particulate active material, and a non-aqueous electrolyte filled in the outer container, wherein the particulate active material includes a particle containing a substance having a lithium absorption and desorption potential of from 1 V vs. Li/Li+ to 3 V vs. Li/Li+, and a coating layer made of a spinel-type lithium-titanium composite oxide formed on the surface of the particle.
