摘要: A spark plug including an insulator and a metallic shell having an outer surface and an inner surface. The outer surface has a taper portion which comes into contact with a peripheral region around a mounting hole of an internal combustion engine, a tool engagement portion, and a trunk portion formed between the tool engagement portion and the taper portion. The inner surface has an annular step portion projecting toward the insulator and an internal trunk portion extending from the base of the step portion toward the rear end of the metallic shell. When the insulator and the metallic shell are fixed to each other by one of either cold and hot crimping, the projected area of the taper portion is at least two times or at least 1.5 times that of the step portion, respectively.

摘要: A spark plug in which the rising of a ground electrode is more reliably restrained. The spark plug includes a ground electrode having a core portion extending from a proximal end section toward a distal end section via a bent section, a heat transfer portion extending from the proximal end section toward the distal end section via the bent section, and an external layer located externally of the core portion and the heat transfer portion and extending from the proximal end section to the distal end section via the bent section. As viewed on a section of the ground electrode taken orthogonally to a direction along which the ground electrode extends, at least at an intermediate position of the bent section with respect to the direction, the center of the core portion is offset toward a center electrode from the center of the heat transfer portion.

摘要: The invention is directed to reduction of a manufacturing cost and enhancement of a breakdown voltage of a PN junction portion abutting on a guard ring. An N− type semiconductor layer is formed on a front surface of a semiconductor substrate, and a P type semiconductor layer is formed thereon. An insulation film is formed on the P type semiconductor layer. Then, a plurality of grooves, i.e., a first groove, a second groove and a third groove are formed from the insulation film to the middle of the N− type semiconductor layer in the thickness direction thereof. The plurality of grooves is formed so that one of the two grooves next to each other among these, that is closer to an electronic device, i.e., to an anode electrode, is formed shallower than the other located on the outside of the one. Then, an insulating material is deposited in the first groove, the second groove and the third groove. The lamination body of the semiconductor substrate and the layers laminated thereon is then diced along dicing lines.

摘要: The first pad electrode layer is disposed on the surface of the semiconductor substrate with the first insulating film between them. Then, the second insulating film with the first via hole partially exposing the first pad electrode layer is formed over the first pad electrode layer. The plug is formed in the first via hole in the next process. The second pad electrode layer connected to the plug is disposed on the second insulating film. Next, the second via hole reaching to the first pad electrode layer from the backside of the semiconductor substrate is formed. The penetrating electrode and the second wiring layer connected to the first pad electrode layer at the bottom part of the second via hole are disposed. Furthermore, the protecting layer and the conductive terminal are formed. Finally, the semiconductor substrate is diced into the semiconductor chips.

摘要: A method of starting a fuel cell system and a fuel cell system including: a fuel cell stack having a phosphoric acid polymer electrolyte membrane, in which an electrochemical reaction occurs using hydrogen and oxygen; a cooling water circulating unit that supplies heated cooling water to the stack to increase the temperature of the stack; and an air circulating unit that provides heated air, as a source of the oxygen, to the stack. The circulating unit can include a heating unit to directly heat the air and/or a heat exchanger to heat the air using air exhausted from the stack. The temperature of the stack can be rapidly increased by supplying the heated air and by generating an endothermic reaction in the stack. The condensation of water vapor in the stack is repressed while the stack is heated, by the heating of the air and/or by increasing the pressure of the air.

摘要: A balloon pumping method of inflating and deflating a balloon includes the steps of setting a pressure in the balloon at a first pressure value, which is higher than a minimum pressure value and is substantially equal to or lower than a maximum pressure value, when the balloon is shifted from a deflated condition to an inflated condition, and setting the pressure in the balloon at a second pressure value, which is substantially equal to or higher than the minimum pressure value and lower than the first pressure value, when the balloon is estimated to have completely inflated at the first pressure value.
