摘要: A powder metal cladding nozzle which is coaxially attached to a laser processing head that irradiates a process portion (W) with a laser beam (L) and that discharges powder metal (P) to a laser beam irradiation portion in the process portion (W). The powder metal cladding nozzle includes a body portion (2) that has a ring-shaped powder metal holding space (7) in which the powder metal (P) is held; and a nozzle portion (3) that is connected to the body portion (2) and that has plural discharge passages (18) which are communicated with the powder metal holding space (7) and which open at an outlet (19) for discharging the powder metal (P). The powder metal holding space (7) is formed in the body portion (2) and is divided into plural powder metal holding regions corresponding to plural supply passages (10) that open into the powder metal holding space (7) and that supply the powder metal (P) to the powder metal holding space (7).

摘要: A laser welded steel pipe having a weld zone containing a steel pipe containing 0.01 to 0.2 weight % C, 1 weight % or less S, 0.05 to 2 weight % Mn and 6 weight % or less Mn. The weld zone has a melted and solidified metal structure containing carbon and oxygen which satisfy the following equations:(carbon weight %)(oxygen weight %).ltoreq.0.006for a steel pipe containing carbon in an amount of less than 0.2 weight %, and(oxygen weight %).gtoreq.0.02.A method for manufacturing a laser-welded steel pipe including producing an open pipe made from a hot-rolled steel strip with opposing edge portions facing each other by employing a formal roll, preheating the two edge portions, pressing the two edge portions to butt against each other by using squeeze rolls and welding the butted edge portions by irradiation with a laser beam to heat and melt the two edge portions.

摘要: A process for the preparation of a two-functional-group-containing terpenoid having the general formula: ##STR1## in which n is an integer of from 1 to 5, R represents a hydroxymethyl, formyl or carboxyl group, and A represents the hydrogen atom, or a 2-tetrahydropyranyl, benzyl, methoxymethol or methoxyethoxymethyl group comprising the oxidation with a microorganism belonging to the genus Nocardia. Some of the terpenoids are of value as anti-ulcer agents, while others are useful as intermediates.

摘要: There are disclosed polyprenyl sulfone derivatives of the general formula: ##STR1## wherein n represents an integer of 1-4, R.sub.1 represents an aryl group d R.sub.2 represents a hydroxymethyl or carboxyl group. The polyprenyl sulfone derivatives are prepared by cultivating a microorganism of the genus Nocardia capable of oxidizing a compound of the general formula: ##STR2## wherein n and R.sub.1 have the same meanings as defined above, in a culture medium containing a compound of the above general formula (II), and then collecting the oxidation product from the culture mixture. The polyprenyl sulfone derivatives are useful as intermediates for preparing various useful polyprenyl compounds.

摘要: A pneumatic radial tire so constructed as to reduce a breaker interlayer shearing strain without adding any particular supplemental reinforcing layer is disclosed. The radial tire has an initial sectional shape which satisfies the following conditions.1. Breaker cord angle .ltoreq. 25.degree.Where R.sub.1 is a radius of curvature of an outer profile of a carcass in a vertical center section through a rotational axis of the tire on a normal line to an outer curved surface through a widthwise end of a crown before the inside of the tire is pressurized, R.sub.1' is its corresponding radius of curvature after the inside of the tire has been pressurized, R.sub.2 is a radius of curvature of an outer profile of the crown in the vertical center section through the rotational axis of the tire before the inside of the tire is pressurized, R.sub.2' is its corresponding radius of curvature after the inside of the tire has been pressurized, W is the maximum width of the tire in the vertical center section through the rotational axis of the tire before the inside of the tire is pressurized, and W' is its corresponding maximum width of the tire after the inside of the tire has been pressurized.
