摘要: A simple and easy process for preparing pharmacologically useful flavonoid compound having reductase inhibitory effect, active oxygen extinguishing effect, carcinogenesis promotion inhibitory effect, anti-inflammatory effect, and so on. Particularly, a process for preparing the compound of the formula (I): wherein, R2 is a substituted or un-substituted phenyl group; R7 is a hydrogen atom or a hydroxyl group; and n is an integer of 1 to 4; by bonding a sugar derivative to catechins as the starting compound selectively via O-glycoside bond and then oxidizing the 4-position of flavanoid skeleton of the obtained compound.

摘要: A control system for an internal combustion engine having an intake air amount regulating device and a fuel supply device. The control system comprises a device for detecting an engine operating condition of the engine, and a control unit. The control unit is configured to perform (a) calculating a basic fuel supply amount of fuel to be supplied to a combustion chamber of the engine in accordance with the engine operating; (b) calculating a lean limit air-fuel ratio in accordance with the engine operating condition, stable combustion in the combustion chamber being impossible at the air-fuel ratio leaner than the lean limit air-fuel ratio; (c) calculating a target intake air amount of intake air to be supplied to the combustion chamber, required for meeting the basic fuel supply amount and the lean limit air-fuel ratio; (d) controlling the intake air amount regulating device so as to regulate an intake air amount of the intake air to the target intake air amount and controlling the fuel supply device so as to regulate a fuel supply amount of the fuel to realize the lean limit air-fuel ratio, within a first engine operating condition (such an engine idling condition) which is within a predetermined low range in engine speed and in engine load; and (e) controlling the intake air amount regulating device so as to increase the intake air amount to fall within a high range between the maximum level and a level lower a predetermined amount than the maximum level and controlling fuel supply device so as to supply the fuel such that the air-fuel ratio falls within a predetermined range, within a second engine operating condition which is higher in at least one of engine speed and engine load than the first engine operating condition.

摘要: The basic unit of a modern electron microscope incorporates a computer, a ROM, and a RAM. According to this invention, an external computer connected with the microscope also has a RAM. In the initial condition, the contents of the ROM in the microscope are read into the RAM of the external computer. When the magnification is set to a desired value, the external computer selects currents which are fed to the electron lenses and deflector coils, corresponding to the two values of magnification closest to the desired value of magnification, from the data stored in the ROM. Then, the computer calculates the currents which should be fed to the lenses and coils, corresponding to the desired value of magnification, from the selected values. The obtained data is held in either RAM. The external computer controls the lenses and coils according to the data held in this RAM.

摘要: In an apparatus for measuring variable quantities such as fluid pressure, stress and strain there are provided an electric pulse generator for generating an electric pulse during a measuring interval in which the quantity to be measured exceeds a preset value, a counter for counting the number of pulses and a time measuring apparatus for cumulatively adding the measuring intervals. By providing a plurality of sets of the elements described above responsive to different set values, the variation of the quantity over a long period of time can be precisely supervised.
