Abstract: An airborne particle collection system includes an airflow directing unit, register units, a fan unit, and a control system. The airflow directing unit includes a plurality of separately controlled air distribution segments. Each register unit includes a motorized damper and filter. The fan unit is connected to the airflow directing unit and to the register units through piping. The fan unit injects air into the airflow directing unit, and generates a vacuum force that causes exhaust air with airborne particles to be pulled into the register units and filtered by the filters within the register units. The control system selectively controls the air distribution segments of the airflow directing unit and the motorized dampers of the register units to generate alterable airflow patterns between the airflow directing unit and the register units in different zones within a room in which the airflow directing unit and the register units are disposed.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a filter, which comprises a housing, a protective bushing, a magnetic bar and a filter screen. The protective bushing, the magnetic bar and the filter screen are disposed in the housing. The protective bushing comprises a cavity and a channel. The channel is disposed along the axial direction of the cavity. The magnetic bar inside the filter adsorbs metal impurities in water in the channel. The shape of the channel increases the length of the flow path of the water so that the metal impurities in the water can be guaranteed to be sufficiently adsorbed by the magnetic bar. The filter screen filters out non-metal impurities in the water. An exhaust valve provided at the top of the protective bushing balances air pressure inside the filter and outside the filter, such that the water can flow out and in smoothly.

Abstract: An air cleaner includes a rear filter receiving air from the outer environment, an ionizer grid connected to a high voltage power supply and having wires extending between opposite sides of a frame such to emit positively charged ions and apply an electrostatic charge on the air received from the rear filter; a collector grid connected to ground and having wires extending between opposite sides of a frame, the combination of the ionizer and collector grids causing the air to move toward the collector grid; a front filter collecting contaminants suspended in the air received from the collector grid; and an apparatus frame housing the rear filter, the ionizer and collector grids, and the front filter, wherein the frames of the ionizer and collector grids are suspended within the apparatus frame with isolating members made of a non-arc tracking material, such to minimize coronal discharge and reduce audible noise.

Abstract: A separator device for removing particles from suspension in a fluid includes a housing having first and second apertures for ingress and egress of fluid into and out of the housing. A first separator chamber is disposed at one end of the housing. A second separator chamber is disposed at the other end of the housing. A central chamber is disposed between the first and second separator chambers. The first and second separator chambers are apertured for ingress and egress of fluid from the central chamber, and each contains obstruction means to slow the flow of fluid within the chamber.

Abstract: A magnet cleaner cooperates with one or more permanent magnets positioned over a conveyer carrying pieces of metal in non-ferrous material so as to remove the metal from the non-ferrous material. The magnet cleaner includes a frame and a capture sheet mounted to the frame and positioned on the frame so as to be substantially flush with the permanent magnets when they are in their lowered positioned. The magnets are spaced by an attenuation distance from the capture sheet when they are in their raised position. The permanent magnets, which may be mounted in a housing, are positionably mounted on the frame so as to be selectively elevatable between their lowered and raised positions upon actuation of an actuator. The actuator is positioned so as to cooperate with the permanent magnets and the frame so as to raise or lower the magnets relative to the capture sheet.
