    摘要: A Dyligomer is disclosed. The Dyligomer has the structure 1 where B is a chemical moiety formed by reactions involving the NCO groups of a diisocyanate the formulas OCNnullBnullNCO and the active hydrogens of OH groups of compounds having the formulas AnullOH and DnullOH, and A and D are chemical moieties formed by the reactions which formed B, and wherein A and D include, in their structures, at least two active hydrogens which are parts of OH groups and at least one ethylenic double bond. Also disclosed are polymerizable compositions comprising Dyligomers and their use to produce structural panels that are admirably suited for use as floors in refrigerated trucks and trailers, and in roofs, sidewalls and load bearing walls for homes and commercial buildings. Blocks which can be used to produce buildings are also disclosed, as is the use of Dyligomers to produce the blocks, and the use of the blocks to produce building structures.

    摘要: Rigid polyurethane foam and laminate articles comprising a facing material and the said polyurethane foam are prepared by contacting under reaction conditions a urethane-modified polyisocyanate with a polyahl in the presence of a blowing agent comprising water. The urethane-modified polyisocyanate has an isocyanate content of from about 10 to about 29 weight percent and is obtained by reacting a polymethylene polyphenylisocyanate with a polyether polyol having a molecular weight of at least 2000 and an oxyethylene content of at least 35 weight percent. Use of this polyisocyanate provides for enhanced adhesion of the resulting foam, especialIy when it is an all-water blown foam, to facing materials such as metal.

    摘要: A castable thermosetting polyurethane polymer, having improved heat-stability characteristics, comprising (A) a polymeric methylene diisocyanate, (B) a propyleneoxide-extended polyol which is preferably a sugar-based polyol, (C) a polyether diol or triol, and (D) dipropylene glycol or diethylene glycol, in amounts respectively between about 35-45 parts by weight, 35-45 parts by weight, and 12-20 parts by weight, per 100 parts by weight of total diol and triol (resin) components, providing an NCO/OH ratio between about 1:1 and about 1.2:1, an effective polyurethane-catalyzing amount of (E) a urethane catalyst, and optionally comprising an effective amount of a drying agent, is disclosed. The cast polyurethane polymer of the invention withstands temperatures of 450.degree. F. (232.degree. C.) for 20 minutes without visual polymer degradation, whereas most other castable polyurethane systems degrade between 350.degree. F. and 375.degree. F., as a result of which heat-stability the polymer of the present invention is especially suitable for post finishing which involves the employment of higher temperatures, such as painting with thermosetting coatings, powder coating, and anodizing.
