    摘要: A method of detecting an abnormal electric current in a vehicle to detect passage of an abnormal electric current through an electric wire for establishing the connection between a load to which electric power is supplied and a power source, the method of detecting an abnormal electric current in a vehicle comprising the steps of: (a) detecting values of electric currents which pass through the electric wire at predetermined sampling intervals; (b) counting the number of times in a unit detection period that a sampled electric current having a value larger than a predetermined value is detected and determining passage of an abnormal electric current through the electric wire when the number of counts is larger than a first number of times; and (c) counting the number of times that a sampled electric current having a value larger than the predetermined value is detected in a unit detection period after the unit detection period in terms of time in a case where the number of counts is smaller than the first number of times and except for zero and determining passage of an abnormal electric current through the electric wire when the number of counts is larger than a second number of times.

The circuit breaker and fuse mounting configurations are such as to allow the enclosure to be more compact than previous, similar enclosures so to provide a smaller, cheaper, more versatile power controller installation.

The module includes a first plurality of series connected, high short circuit current cells, and a second plurality of series connected, low short circuit current cells connected in series with the first plurality. A diode is connected in parallel with the second plurality of cells such that current flow through the module when the module is under low load reverse biases the diode so that the module discharges at a low current. When the module is under high load, current flow through the module forward biases the diode and bypasses the second plurality of cells so that the module discharges at a high rate. The module is particularly useful for starting and running an electric motor.

    摘要: A power conservation device for a peripheral interface module configured for use in an electronic device includes a sensing means that senses whether the module is in use, and a switching means that connects power from the electronic device to the module when the module is in use, and disconnects power from the electronic device to the module when the module is not in use. The peripheral interface module is designed for use with a peripheral device that is coupled to the module via a peripheral device plug. The peripheral device plug engages a socket provided in the module. The sensing means senses whether the plug engages the socket as an indication of whether the module is actually in use. In response, the switching means disconnects power from the electronic device to the module when the plug does not engage the socket, and connects power from the electronic device to the module when the plug does engage the socket. The power conservation device generally limits power consumption to periods in which the module is in use, thereby improving power efficiency and conserving battery resources in the electronic device.
