Abstract: Techniques for leveraging the MASQUE protocol to provide remote clients with full application access to private enterprise resources are described herein. One or more network nodes may be configured to execute a MASQUE proxy service to provide a remote client device with full access to an enterprise/private application resource executing on an application node and hosted in an enterprise/application network, behind the MASQUE proxy service. In some examples, the MASQUE proxy service may execute on a single proxy node hosted at an edge of a cloud network or at an edge of an enterprise network. Additionally, or alternatively, a first instance of the MASQUE proxy service may execute on a first proxy node hosted at an edge of a cloud network (e.g., an ingress proxy node) and a second instance of the MASQUE proxy service may execute on a second proxy node hosted at an edge of the enterprise network.

The method includes: determining a target service unit; and triggering the target service unit to publish first routing information according to configuration information of a first service unit for a first load balancing task, so as to replace the first service unit to provide a traffic distribution service for the first load balancing task. When the entire service network needs to perform disaster tolerance switching and capacity dispatching, the method provided in the embodiments of this application can effectively improve the real-time performance of traffic switching, and avoid the problem of relatively poor real-time performance of traffic switching caused by the influence of DNS cache in the existing technologies.

Abstract: Embodiments herein describe a CDN where anycast routing is used to identify a load balancer for selecting a cache in the CDN to use to deliver a requested object to a user. In one embodiment, the user performs a DNS lookup to identify an anycast IP address for a plurality of load balancers in the CDN. The user can then initiate anycast routing using the anycast IP address to automatically identify a load balancer. Once the identified balancer selects the cache, the load balancer can close the anycast connection with the user device and use a redirect to provide the user device with a unicast path to the selected cache. The user device can then establish a unicast connection with the cache to retrieve (e.g., stream) the object.

Abstract: Some embodiments provide a novel method for deploying different virtual networks over several public cloud datacenters for different entities. For each entity, the method (1) identifies a set of public cloud datacenters of one or more public cloud providers to connect a set of machines of the entity, (2) deploys managed forwarding nodes (MFNs) for the entity in the identified set of public cloud datacenters, and then (3) configures the MFNs to implement a virtual network that connects the entity's set of machines across its identified set of public cloud datacenters. In some embodiments, the method identifies the set of public cloud datacenters for an entity by receiving input from the entity's network administrator. In some embodiments, this input specifies the public cloud providers to use and/or the public cloud regions in which the virtual network should be defined. Conjunctively, or alternatively, this input in some embodiments specifies actual public cloud datacenters to use.

Abstract: A system and method for determining performance of connections between an endpoint device and a Cloud region is disclosed. A Cloud based host server communicates with the endpoint device operated by a user through a network. A data collection module is coupled to the Cloud server and the endpoint device. The data collection module periodically collects connection data associated with the endpoint device and collects context data of the endpoint device. An analysis engine compares a connection data metric derived from the connection data to a baseline value of the connection data metric associated with the context data of the endpoint device and determines substandard performance. The analysis engine provides an alert when a substandard performance is determined.
