    摘要: A wrapped textile sleeve for protecting an elongate member and method of construction thereof is provided. The sleeve includes an inner layer having opposite inner edges extending lengthwise between opposite inner ends. The opposite inner edges are laterally spaced from one another by an inner width. The sleeve further includes an outer layer having opposite outer edges extending lengthwise between opposite outer ends. The opposite outer edges are laterally spaced from one another by an outer width. An adhesive intermediate layer is sandwiched between the inner layer and the outer layer, wherein a melted portion of the adhesive intermediate bonds the inner layer to the outer layer. The adhesive intermediate layer extends beyond at least one of the inner edges to provide an exposed region of the adhesive intermediate layer. The exposed region is bonded to the outer layer and maintains the outer layer in a wrapped, tubular configuration.

    摘要: A self-wrapping nonwoven sleeve for routing and protecting elongate members and method of construction thereof is provided. The sleeve includes a non-woven wall having a thickness extending between inner and outer sides. The wall has opposite edges extending along a length of the sleeve between opposite ends. The opposite edges are biased into a self-wrapped configuration by heat-set material of the nonwoven wall to define a tubular cavity. The non-woven wall includes first and second portions extending between the opposite edges. The first portion and second portion have respective first and second thicknesses extending between the inner and outer sides, wherein the first thickness is greater than the second thickness and wherein the first portion provides flexibility to the wall and the second portion is heat set to bias the wall into its self-wrapped configuration.

    摘要: A textile sleeve has wall of interlaced warp yarn and weft yarn. The warp yarn extends lengthwise along a longitudinal axis of the sleeve between opposite first and second ends of the sleeve. The warp yarn is non-metallic heat-shrinkable polymeric yarn. The sleeve has at least one electro-functional member interlaced with some of the weft yarn. The at least one electro-functional yarn extends along the longitudinal axis between the first and second ends. The non-metallic polymeric warp yarns have a greater heat-shrinkage ratio than the at least one electro-functional member. The non-metallic polymeric warp yarns are caused to be shortened in the lengthwise direction along the longitudinal axis relative to the at least one electro-functional member upon being heated.

The sleeve has an elongate wall constructed from interlaced yarns. At least one of the yarns is provided as heat-settable polymeric yarn that is heat-set to bias the wall into a self-wrapping configuration about a longitudinal central axis of the sleeve to bring opposite edges into overlapping relation with one another to provide a generally tubular cavity in which the elongate members are received. Further, at least one of the yarns is provided as a bi-component metallic wire having an aluminum core and an outer layer of copper.

    摘要: A wrappable knit textile sleeve and method of construction thereof are provided. The sleeve includes a wall of knit yarn having opposite edges extending lengthwise along a longitudinal axis of the sleeve between opposite ends with a straightened length of the wall spanning between the opposite ends. The knit yarn includes warp yarns extending generally parallel to the longitudinal axis and weft yarns extending generally transversely to the longitudinal axis. The opposite edges are wrappable into overlapping one another to form a tubular cavity. At least one of the weft yarns is an electro-functional yarn having a straightened length that is greater than the straightened length of the wall, thereby allowing opposite ends of the at least one electro-functional member to be pulled axially outwardly from the opposite ends of the wall to form leads for attachment to a power source.

    摘要: A textile sleeve for routing and protecting elongate members and method of construction thereof are provided. The sleeve has a wall of interlaced monofilament and/or multifilament yarns. Opposite edges of the wall extend along a central axis of the sleeve. The opposite edges are biased into a self-wrapping, overlapping relation with one another to bound a tubular cavity in an in-use first configuration. A plurality of elongate hinges formed with the interlaced yarns extend along the length of the sleeve in substantially parallel relation with the central axis, with the hinges separating relatively rigid, arcuate regions of the wall from one another. The hinges allow the arcuate regions to be moved from the expanded in-use tubular first configuration to a collapsed, second configuration nested with one another to allow significantly increased numbers of the sleeves to be shipped and stowed in a significantly reduced volume of space.
