摘要: A cassette for attachment and use with an infusion pump apparatus. The cassette head having a low profile cassette head for attaching to the infusion pump apparatus and a flexible reservoir attached to the cassette head that can be filled with a fluid to be administered to a patient. The reservoir is enclosed in a flexible cover attached to the cassette. The flexibility of the cover and the reservoir inhibits the cassette head from disengaging from the infusion pump apparatus and allows the infusion pump apparatus to be primed by squeezing or pressing the cover and reservoir.

摘要: The subject invention provides compositions and methods for isolating exosomes from, for example, biological fluid samples, cell cultures and/or cultured medium. Provided are Absolute Precipitation of Exosomes (APEX) reagents and precipitation techniques to isolate exosomes from various EV subsets, cells, dead cells, and/or cell debris. Advantageously, APEX is a rapid, effortless, inexpensive, high-recovery method to extract exosomes. This method is also faster and purer at isolating exosomes from other precipitation techniques.

摘要: The subject invention pertains to methods for producing novel occidiofungin analogues lacking xylose (OF-Δxyl analogue). OF-Δxyl analogues can contain aldehyde, amine, triazole, or hydrazones. The aldehyde, amine, triazole or hydrazone containing analogues of OF-Δxyl can be further modified by substitution with additional functional groups. Various OF-Δxyl analogues described herein have reduced inflammation and toxicity and superior pharmacological properties compared to the natural occidiofungins. Accordingly, certain embodiments of the invention provide methods of treating or preventing fungal infections by administering to the subjects in need thereof the OF-Δxyl analogues described herein.
