摘要: In one aspect, the disclosure relates to compounds comprising one or more lignin derivatives, at least one organic peroxide, and a pharmaceutically-acceptable carrier. In an aspect, the one or more lignin derivatives can be or include thiolated lignosulfonate (TLS), sodium lignosulfonate (SLS), or a combination thereof. In one aspect, the SLS can be grafted to a polymer or copolymer such as poly(lactic-co-glycolic) acid (PLGA) in order to form a shell of a core-shell nanoparticle, wherein the shell surrounds a core of the inorganic peroxide and protects the core from premature activation in an aqueous wound environment. In another aspect, the pharmaceutically-acceptable carrier can be a hydrogel forming polymer such as a methacrylated gelatin, which can assist in modulating the properties of the lignin derivatives to be suitable for injection. Also disclosed herein are methods of using the disclosed compositions for the treatment of wounds in subjects, including in diabetic subjects.

摘要: A system and method are disclosed for overheight vehicle impact avoidance and incident detection. A detection subsystem of the system determines whether an incoming vehicle is clear to pass, depending at least on its height. The detection subsystem relies on distance sensors located along the freeway to detect the highest point of the vehicle and outputs an indication of whether the vehicle can pass. A warning subsystem receives the indication that a vehicle is overheight and provides a warning indication to the driver about the vehicle's inability to pass an upcoming structure. The warning subsystem may also perform a variety of other tasks, such as, for example, logging a variety of information about the vehicle and the incident, sending data about the incident locally to a central command, and generating reports.

摘要: In one aspect, the disclosure relates to compositions, methods, and devices pertaining to polymeric nanoparticle compositions (pNP), pNP compositions comprising a therapeutic agent, devices comprising a drug-coated balloon comprising a disclosed pNP comprising a therapeutic agent, and methods for treating peripheral artery disease using the disclosed compositions and devices. In further aspects, the pNP comprises a poly (lactic-co-glycolic) acid possessing a positive charge for firm attachment to the balloon matrix, followed by adhesion to the negatively charged bilayer of the vascular wall. In still further aspects, the therapeutic agent comprises a resveratrol or derivative thereof, a quercetin or derivative thereof, or combinations thereof. 摘要: System and methods for enabling a mobile robot for autonomous missions are described. Despite some mobile robots having the capability of safely traversing complex terrains, mobile robots still behave like a typical machine which can only respond to a human's commands via an interactive controller. For example, a human will drive the mobile robot to desired locations, position it, and activate actions as desired in order to complete a mission. As such, it is desirable to enable a mobile robot with the capability of executing and completing a mission without a human's involvement. The present disclosures includes innovative technology which enables an ordinary user to quickly define a complex mission in the form that a mobile robot can understand and automatically execute it accordingly.

摘要: Provided is a method for altering properties of tension programmed fibrous shape memory polymer. The method can include applying a protective coating to the tension programmed shape memory polymer, then applying a supportive coating to the tension programmed shape memory polymer to form a coated fiber. The protective coating avoids contact between the shape memory polymer and chemicals used in the supportive coating that can decompensate the shape memory polymer.
