    摘要: This invention relates to a process for the manufacture of catalysts for the reduction of nitrogen oxides in exhaust gases or for chemical air cleaning processes, in which catalyst moldings are produced from iron oxide or mixtures of iron oxide and chromium oxide and/or manganese oxide, which are reduced to grain sizes less than 2 mm, with the use of inorganic binders and sulfuric acid, and with the possible addition of activating additives.In accordance with the invention:(a) either the mixture of the solid primary material is reacted with sulfuric acid, a mixture of sulfuric acid and phosphoric acid or a sulfuric acid or mixture of sulfuric acid and phosphoric acid containing sulfate, hydrogen sulfate, phosphate or hydrogen phosphate of ammonium, aluminum, iron, vanadium, manganese, molybdenum, chromium, copper and/or cobalt, and moldings are formed from this mixture, or the mixture of the solid primary material is formed into moldings after the addition of fluid and/or phosphoric acid and/or phosphates, and these moldings are treated with sulfuric acid or a sulfuric acid containing sulfate or hydrogen sulfate of ammonium, aluminum, iron, vanadium, manganese, molybdenum, chromium, copper, and(b) then, on the moldings obtained in Step (a), a drying treatment is performed at 110.degree. C. to 250.degree. C., followed by a tempering treatment at 250.degree. C. to 600.degree. C.The catalysts manufactured using the process described by the invention have a low sensitivity to moisture and good activity.

    摘要: Flue gas discharged from a recuperator or regenerator of a coke oven battery has the steam thereof removed by means of a direct or indirect cooling and condensation operation. After the steam is removed from the flue gas it is then passed through a coke dry cooling plant in direct contact with hot coke therein to form dry cooled coke while simultaneously increasing the temperature of the flue gas. The flue gas is then passed through a coal preheating plant to directly contact and dry and preheat moist coking coal contained therein. The entire system is open, such that a given quantity of the flue gas passes only once through the system. When the temperature of the flue gas as received from a coke oven battery is extremely high, then the flue gas may be subjected to a partial cooling operation prior to the cooling and condensation operation. Further, a portion of the heat of the flue gas, after the discharge thereof from the coke dry cooling plant and prior to the introduction thereof into the coal preheating plant, may be used to generate steam and/or electricity.

    摘要: The invention relates to catalyst plates for reducing nitrogen oxide in exhaust gases. These plates are molded of granular Fe.sub.2 O.sub.3 catalyst material and a binder. To achieve high activity and strength in the plates, these are molded of a combination of a first mixture comprised of Fe.sub.2 O.sub.3 catalyst material and phosphoric acid as binder, and a second, separately-produced mixture comprised of Fe.sub.2 O.sub.3 catalyst material and sulphuric acid as binder. The plates can also be a molding having layers, which layers have alternate layers of the first and second mixtures.

    摘要: Moist bulk coal is supplied into a fluidized bed drier into which is introduced a first heat carrier gas to thereby dry the moist coal to form dried coal. The dried coal is discharged from the drier and is transferred to a generally horizontal bulk material conveyor. A second heat carrier gas is injected through the bottom of the bulk material conveyor, thereby transporting the coal generally horizontally and preheating the coal to form preheated coal. The preheated coal is then discharged from the bulk material conveyor and is filled into a selected charging opening of a coke oven battery.

    摘要: A process and apparatus for the dry cooling of coke involves the provision of a vessel having therein first and second zones in full communication with each other. Hot coke from a coking operation is introduced into the first zone and is passed through the first and second zones. Raw coke oven gas from the coking operation is introduced into the first zone, thereby reducing the temperature of the coke, while cleaning the raw coke oven gas to form cleaned coke oven gas. The cleaned coke oven gas is removed from the first zone, cooled, and then directly or indirectly utilized as a heat carrier gas introduced into the second zone to therein further reduce the temperature of the coke. The thereby further cooled coke is removed from the second zone.

    摘要: In the process of transferring coke from a coke oven chamber in a battery of coke ovens to a quenching car, the coke is quenched by a water spray from above. The resulting steam is collected in a hood located above and movable with the quenching car and is either exhausted from the hood and conveyed to a condenser or is condensed in the hood with the condensate being collected, cooled and recirculated to provide the water for the quenching and condensing sprays. The apparatus and method of this invention provides for transferring and quenching the coke without emitting harmful gases and dust to the atmosphere.
