    摘要: One example includes a memory cell system that includes a quantizing loop that conducts a quantizing current in a first direction corresponding to a first stored memory state and to conduct the quantizing current in a second direction corresponding to a second stored memory state. The system also includes a bias element configured to provide a substantially constant flux bias of the quantizing loop in each of the first and second states of the stored memory state. The stored memory state can be read from the memory cell system in response to the substantially constant flux bias and a read current that is provided to the memory cell system. The system further includes a tunable energy element that is responsive to a write current that is provided to the memory cell system to change the state of the stored memory state between the first state and the second state.

    摘要: One aspect of the present invention includes a reciprocal quantum logic (RQL) readout system. The system includes an input stage on which a read pulse is provided and an output stage configured to propagate an output pulse. The system also includes an RQL comparator comprising a first Josephson junction and a second Josephson junction that are coupled to a qubit. A bias current switches between a first Josephson junction in a first quantum state of the qubit and a second Josephson junction in a second quantum state of the qubit. The first Josephson junction triggers to provide the output pulse on the output stage in the first quantum state in response to the read pulse and the second Josephson junction triggers to provide no output pulse on the output stage in the second quantum state in response to the read pulse.

    摘要: A second order superconductor delta-sigma analog-to-digital modulator having an input for receiving an analog signal, a first integrator coupled to the input, a second integrator cascaded with the first integrator, and a quantum comparator digitizing output from the second integrator reduces quantization noise by providing matched quantum accurate DACs in a feedback loop between output from the quantum comparator and input to the first integrator. The matched quantum accurate feedback DACs produce identically repeatable voltage pulses, may be configured for multi-bit output, may be time-interleaved to permit higher clocking rates, and may be employed in a balanced bipolar configuration to allow inductive input coupling. Bipolar feedback is balanced when gain of a first DAC exceeds gain of a matched, opposite polarity DAC by the amount of implicit feedback from the comparator into the second integrator.

    摘要: A technique is provided for controlling the interposition of one or more special sheets into a stream of regular imaged substrates. In one example, a point in time at which a special insert sheet should be fed from a special insertion sheet subsystem to the stream is determined by reference to plural sets of preset time periods. In this example, the preset time periods can be adjusted to accommodate print engine/interposing module machine clock fluctuations. In another example, interposition of a special insert sheet with the stream of regular imaged substrates is maintained at an acceptable level by comparing a distance between a special insert sheet fed to the stream and an adjacent regular imaged substrate with a predefined tolerance. The comparison can then be used to adjust feed times of special insert sheets subsequently fed to the stream.

The support belt is formed with two layers of elongated rectangular panels housing therebetween a semi-rigid cushioned extension pad. The belt is structured with an outer layer of permeable webbed porous material with an inner layer of soft absorbent material. The extension pad is structured with an inner panel of rigid plastic with an outer covering of soft resilient foam padding. The extension pad also contains a V-shaped groove positioned parallel with the spine in use.
