摘要： A projection-type male connector component includes a buttress of insulative polymeric material surrounded by a number of electrically conductive contacts electrically isolated from each other. The male component is designed to mate with an equal number of female cantilever beam contacts. The buttress is provided with a tapered end and the male contacts are bent over this tapered end so that the female contacts touch the male contacts when the male and female contacts are mated rather than the insulative material from which the buttress is made. In this way, excessive wear of the female contacts is avoided.

摘要： A system for holding and delivery a plurality of disposable cannula adaptors. A dispenser is provided with a dispensing surface having a series of posts or other means for retaining a plurality of disposable cannula adaptors in a spaced relationship. The posts extend upwardly, and preferably two or more adaptors can be accommodated on each post. A plurality of the dispensers can be employed in a stacked relationship, with the dispensers having the posts extending from one side thereof and one or more post retainers formed on the opposite side and in alignment with a post on the next lower dispenser. In an alternative form, the dispenser has an adhesive dispensing surface, and the cannula adaptors are applied in a spaced relationship to the adhesive surface.

摘要： Circlip making apparatus comprises three forming tools 2, 3, 4 equiangularly spaced about a mandrel axis 1a. A row of integral circlip blanks 6 are fed to the mandrel 1 through guide means 5 and blanks are cut from the row by blade 7 one by one before being bent into circlips around the mandrel 1 by advancement of the tools 2, 3, 4 radially of axis 1a. The row of blanks 6 is made from long flat wire stock and the stock is passed through work stations in which each blank is cut to tapered form and its cross-section planished between the ends so that it is adapted to a shape to be bent into a circlip without irregular distortion or buckling.

摘要： A needle cover for a blood collection needle or the like comprises a first sleeve positioned about a pointed hypodermic needle. The first sleeve is removably carried by a hub, which also carries the needle. In accordance with this invention an inner sleeve is provided, positioned within the first sleeve and about the point of the needle. The inner sleeve is free of mechanical attachment to the first sleeve so that, upon rotation of the outer sleeve for its removal from the hub, the inner sleeve does not rotate with the first sleeve. Accordingly, the danger of the pointed needle scouring out and retaining bits of plastic from the sleeve is eliminated.

摘要： A surface mount ceramic package, e.g. for a microwave or millimeter wave integrated circuit device, has outer conductive pads that are available for direct connection with traces on the printed circuit board. A metal core or base has spaces at one or more sides, e.g., voids or cutouts, where the outer pads are located. There is a first ceramic layer disposed on the core, with a central cavity for the die, and an upper or second ceramic layer. Printed traces are buried between the two layers, and vias connect the traces with the outer pads. Inner pads are located on a ledge of the first layer adjacent the cavity for connection with electrodes of the die. Each of the first and second ceramic layers may be stacked ceramic tape. The package may be LTCC or HTCC. This construction avoids inductive losses, especially at higher frequencies.

摘要： A rotary distributor seal for a rotary centrifuge which comprises a tubular housing having sealed ends, a relatively rotatable fluid conveying apertured spindle coaxially mounted in the housing, and several resilient, spaced ring seals positioned about the spindle to seal the annular space between the spindle and the housing, and to subdivide it into several annular chambers. Ports communicate with the chambers to provide fluid flow from the ports through the separate chambers and through the spindle. In accordance with this invention, support members are positioned in alternate, spaced chambers between pairs of ring seals to prevent collapse of the ring seal pairs together.
