Abstract:
Airtight and puncture-resistant multilayer elastomer laminate that can be used in particular in an inflatable article, such as a pneumatic tire for a vehicle, comprising at least the following three layers (phr signifying parts by weight per hundred parts of rubber (elastomer) in each composition considered): as an airtight first layer, a first elastomer composition comprising at least 50 phr of a diene elastomer; as a puncture-resistant second layer, a self-sealing second elastomer composition comprising at least 50 phr of a saturated thermoplastic styrene elastomer and more than 200 phr of an extender oil; as an adhesive third layer or interphase between the above two layers, a third composition comprising at least 30 phr of an unsaturated thermoplastic styrene elastomer.
Abstract:
Composite reinforcer (R-2) self-adhesive, by curing, to a diene rubber matrix, which can be used as reinforcing element for a tire, comprising: one or more reinforcing thread(s) (20), for example a carbon steel cord; a first layer (21) of a thermoplastic polymer, the glass transition temperature of which is positive, for example, a polyamide 6,6, covering individually said thread or each thread or collectively several threads; a second layer (22) comprising a functionalized diene elastomer bearing functional groups selected from epoxide, carboxyl, acid anhydride and acid ester groups, for example, an epoxidized natural rubber, covering the first layer (21). Process for manufacturing such a composite reinforcer and rubber article or semi-finished product, especially a tire, incorporating such a composite reinforcer.
Abstract:
Rubber composite, and in particular tyre, reinforced with a sized textile material, such as a fibre or a film, at least one portion of which is coated with an adhesive layer, capable of adhering directly via curing (crosslinking) to an unsaturated rubber matrix, such as a natural rubber matrix, characterized in that said layer comprises an adhesive composition or thermoplastic adhesive, in the liquid or solid state, which is based on at least one unsaturated thermoplastic styrene (TPS) elastomer and a poly(p-phenylene ether) (PPE).Such an adhesive based on unsaturated TPS and PPE advantageously makes it possible to replace a conventional textile adhesive of RFL type. Use of such an adhesive for the adhesive bonding of a textile material to an unsaturated, in particular diene, rubber. Process for obtaining such a composite.

Composite reinforcer (R-2) that is self-adhesive by curing to a diene rubber matrix, which can be used as reinforcing element for a pneumatic tire, comprising: one or more reinforcing thread(s) (20), for example a carbon steel cord; covering said thread, individually each thread or collectively several threads, a layer of a thermoplastic polymer composition comprising on the one hand a thermoplastic polymer, the glass transition temperature of which is positive, on the other hand a functionalized unsaturated thermoplastic stirene elastomer, the glass transition temperature of which is negative, said elastomer containing functional groups selected from epoxide, carboxyl and acid anhydride or ester groups. Process for manufacturing such a composite reinforcer and rubber article or semi-finished product, especially a pneumatic tire, incorporating such a composite reinforcer.

Abstract:
A tyre tread includes a cellulose-based filler material placed in a cavity of the tread. The filler material includes a blend of a degradable cellulose-based thermoplastic and an unsaturated thermoplastic elastomer.
Abstract:
An inflatable article is provided with an elastomer layer that is airtight to inflation gases used to inflate the article. The elastomer layer includes at least one blend of a thermoplastic elastomer in a proportion A and a partially crosslinked butyl rubber in a proportion B. The ratio A/B varies in a range between 1 and 20, with A and B being expressed by weight. The thermoplastic elastomer includes a polyisobutylene block.
Abstract:
A tire for an axle of a private passenger vehicle having two axles. The axle comprises a suspension device for positively controlling the camber of the wheels relative to the ground in the case of transverse acceleration. The tire develops a contact patch on the ground, said contact patch having a length at the left shoulder (Leg), a length at the right shoulder (Led) and a central length (Lc), a contact patch ratio (Rep) being defined by the quotient of the average of the shoulder lengths divided by the central length. The tire contact patch ratio is greater than 0.65.
