The touch sensing apparatus includes a sensing circuit unit detecting a plurality of signals from a plurality of changes in capacitance generated in a plurality of electrodes provided in a panel unit; and a signal processing unit comparing, with predetermined reference levels, levels of at least two signals generated from changes in capacitance in at least two electrodes spaced apart from one another by a predetermined distance or greater, from among the plurality of electrodes, wherein, when the levels of the at least two signals are greater than the predetermined reference levels, the plurality of changes in capacitance are determined to be generated due to noise.
Abstract:
There are provided a touch input sensing device and a method thereof. The touch input sensing device includes a panel integrally provided with a display device and including a plurality of sensing electrodes; a sensing circuit unit generating an analog signal from capacitance variations generated in the plurality of sensing electrodes; a signal converting unit generating a digital signal from the analog signal; and a calculating unit judging a touch input from the digital signal, wherein the signal converting unit generates the digital signal by measuring a time required for the analog signal to reach a predetermined reference signal level and controls a time at which the sensing circuit unit generates the analog signal by judging whether the measured time is included in an activation time period of a clock signal of the display device.
Abstract:
Methods of fabricating integrated circuit memory cells and integrated circuit memory cells are disclosed. An integrated circuit memory cell can be fabricated by forming an ohmic layer on an upper surface of a conductive structure and extending away from the structure along at least a portion of a sidewall of an opening in an insulation layer. An electrode layer is formed on the ohmic layer. A variable resistivity material is formed on the insulation layer and electrically connected to the electrode layer.
Abstract:
An orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) receiver capable of improving equalization performance is provided. In the OFDM receiver receiving an OFDM signal having a frame structure constructed with one reference symbol and a plurality of data symbols following the reference symbol, the OFDM receiver includes: a synchronizer which detects a position of the reference symbol from the received OFDM signal; a time-domain equalizer which equalizes in a time domain the data symbols that are separated by a distance longer than a predetermined distance from the position of the reference symbol; an FFT (fast Fourier transform) unit which performs an FFT process on the OFDM signal; and a frequency-domain equalizer which equalizes in a frequency domain the data symbols that are separated by a distance shorter than a predetermined distance from the position of the reference symbol.
Abstract:
A method of forming a metal layer on the conductive region of a semiconductor device includes concurrently supplying a mixture gas including a hydrogen gas and a metal chloride compound gas, and a purge gas into a chamber having a sealed space for a predetermined time, thereby forming a first metal layer on the semiconductor substrate, using a plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD) method. The hydrogen gas and metal chloride gases are thereafter alternately supplied for a predetermined time while the purge gas is continuously supplied into the chamber, thereby forming a second metal layer on the first metal layer, using a PECVD method. Deterioration of semiconductor devices due to high heat by a conventional CVD method can be prevented using a PECVD method as a low temperature process, thereby improving a production yield.
Abstract:
A method by which an electronic apparatus downloads a program includes receiving program information regarding a utility program from an external apparatus, and determining whether the utility program is executable, and downloading the utility program from the external apparatus if a determination is made that the utility program is executable. Therefore, checking whether a utility program is executable is possible prior to downloading of the utility program. A user may efficiently use the utility program, and user convenience may be enhanced.
Abstract:
A common power control channel transmission device for a base station in a CDMA communication system is provided having a selector for receiving power control commands to be transmitted to multiple subscribers and multiplexing the received power control commands; and a spreading modulator for spreading an output of the selector by multiplying the output of the selector by a spreading sequence. The common power control channel transmission device can be used to control power of a reverse link common channel. For the power control of the reverse link common channel, the base station receives a signal from a mobile station via the reverse link common channel, and transmits to the mobile station a power control command for controlling a transmission power of the reverse link common channel according to a measured strength of the received signal.

Abstract:
A method and apparatus for managing a history of operations performed in an image forming apparatus that is controlled by an external connection are provided. The apparatus includes an interface unit via which an external device is connected to the image forming apparatus to control the image forming apparatus, a storage unit that stores a history obtained by controlling the image forming apparatus by the external device, and a controller that controls the history in the storage unit. Accordingly, it is possible to allow the external device to be connected to the image forming apparatus to control the image forming apparatus, and store the history of the control in the storage unit. Accordingly, a user can review operations that were performed by the image forming apparatus under the control of the external device, and determine whether important information was disclosed or whether unnecessary operations had been performed, thereby managing the image forming apparatus.
Abstract:
An image forming method used in an image forming apparatus to print an image based on printing data. The method includes displaying a first area box that corresponds to a sheet of recording medium, and a second area box that corresponds to a part of the image or a position of the part of the image on the sheet of recording medium, selecting the part of the image or the position of the part of the image on the sheet of recording medium through the first area box and the second area box, processing the printing data that corresponds to the selected part of the image, and outputting the processed printing data to the selected position of the sheet of recording medium. Thus, the image forming method and apparatus can conveniently print an image in a variety of manners according to a user taste or preference.
