    摘要: The provided is a mixed reactant fuel cell system that includes a fuel cell body including a membrane-electrode assembly, a fuel tank, and a fuel pump. The fuel tank stores a mixed fuel including a hydrocarbon-based fuel and hydrogen peroxide (H2O2). The hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) acts as an oxidant. The fuel pump supplies the mixed fuel into the fuel cell body to generate electricity. An anode included in the membrane-electrode assembly includes a catalyst that selectively activates the oxidation reaction of the hydrocarbon-based fuel. A cathode included in the membrane-electrode assembly includes a catalyst that selectively activates the reduction reaction of the oxidant in the cathode. Therefore, when the mixed fuel is injected into both of the anode and the cathode, only an oxidation reaction of the fuel is carried out in the anode, and only a reduction reaction of the oxidant is carried out in the cathode.

    摘要: A fuel cell system having a water recovering and circulating structure, includes an electric generator provided with a membrane electrode assembly including an anode electrode into which a hydrogen containing fuel is introduced, a cathode electrode into which an oxidant is introduced, and an electrolyte polymer membrane interposed between the anode and cathode electrodes. The cathode electrode includes: a first catalyst layer which is in contact with the electrolyte polymer membrane and in which a reduction reaction for the oxidant occurs; and a first gas diffusion layer to diffuse the oxidant on the first catalyst layer. At least a part of the first gas diffusion layer directly contacts the electrolyte polymer membrane. Thus, water produced by the chemical reaction in the cathode electrode is introduced into the anode electrode through the electrolyte polymer membrane, and water is effectively prevented from evaporating, thereby enhancing the water recovering efficiency and thus enhancing the power generation efficiency of the fuel cell system.

    摘要: A reformer includes a heating unit and a reforming unit. The heating unit receives oxidation fuel and generates heat using an oxidation reaction. The reforming unit includes a first reaction part formed around the heating units and performing a reforming reaction; a second reaction part formed around the first reaction part and reducing carbon monoxide; and a mixing-reaction part connecting the outlet end of the first reaction part with an inlet of the second reaction part such that fluid can flow therebetween, and performing simultaneously a reforming reaction and a reduction reaction of carbon monoxide. The mixing-reaction part includes a mixed catalyst layer that can simultaneously perform reforming and reducing carbon monoxide, such that it is possible to increase the generation amount of hydrogen and reduce the generation amount of carbon monoxide.

    摘要: A fuel cell system and a reformer for a fuel cell system prevents backfire and improves efficiency of heat transfer. The fuel cell system includes a reformer generating hydrogen gas from fuel including hydrogen by a catalytic chemical reaction using heat energy, and at least one electricity generating unit generating electrical energy by an electrochemical reaction between the hydrogen gas and oxygen. The reformer includes a case, a heat source, and a reforming reaction part. The case forms an external shape. The heat source is disposed in the case to generate heat energy by an oxidation reaction between fuel and a catalyst, and includes a mesh, an oxidation catalyst layer formed on a surface of the mesh, and at least one fuel injection nozzle supplying the fuel to the oxidation catalyst layer. The reforming reaction part is disposed in the case to generate hydrogen gas from fuel using the heat energy generated from the heat source.
