摘要: A DC electrical power system has a power generator converter system, a positive supply rail extending from the converter system, a negative supply rail extending from the converter system, and a midpoint earthing arrangement operatively connecting to the supply rails. The earthing arrangement is connected to earth by a solid earth connection. The network further has a first protective device on one of the supply rails which in case of a fault is operable to interrupt current flowing on that rail, and a second protective device on the earthing arrangement which in case of a fault is operable to interrupt current flowing to earth through the solid earth connection.

摘要: Systems and methods of characterizing eye diagrams are described. In one aspect, at measurement times across a measurement interval spanning at least one unit interval of the input signal, corresponding levels of the input signal are classified into groups based on at least one threshold. An eye diagram characteristic width is derived based on a distribution across the measurement interval of the levels in one of the groups.

摘要: A method for producing a golf club head (42) with a face component (60) and an aft-body (61) is disclosed herein. The face component (60), which includes a striking face (72) having a variable face thickness and a return portion is formed from a custom sheet or strip (50) of metal material that has been formed to have a desired thickness profile, with at least one portion of the sheet having a greater thickness than another section. A blank pattern of the face component (51) is cut from the sheet of metal material and formed into the face component (60). The face component (60) is then welded and attached to the aft-body (61).

摘要: In one embodiment a system and method is arranged for bridging the dead-band when asynchronous signals are compared against each other. There is developed a pair of phase related signals from one of the signals, each phase related signal phase shifted from each other, but having the same frequency as the signal from which it was derived. The other frequency signal is compared against each of the phase-related developed signals to generate an error signal which quadrature rotates when the first and second signals are out of frequency with each other. A control signal is generated when the quadrature rotation is outside a certain limit. The error signal is controllably buffered to insure that the error signal only occurs when the frequencies are offset for a selected period of time.

摘要: An improved high speed package printer for producing a plurality of high quality photographs of varying size, shape, and style based on one or a plurality of different film negatives. The improved package printer of the present invention accomplishes the goal of increased throughput and speed through the use of an automatic paper-loading feature, ultrasonic proximity sensors for dynamically measuring paper-slack loops, off-center printing for eliminating the need to advance the paper for punching after each exposure, a rotational prism for creating 10".times.13" photographs without physically rotating the film, a 13-UP lens deck including 12 wallet lenses and a single 5".times.7" retro-focus lens for creating 12 wallet-sized photographs and one 5".times.7" photograph from a single exposure, an automatic diffusion plate cleaner for eliminating the system down time associated with manual diffusion plate cleaning, an improved filtering arrangement for equalizing the amount of energy emitted from each lamp within a photographic lamphouse, and bi-directional film movement for producing a single composite containing a plurality of different images or poses. The high speed package printer of the present invention also boasts an improved film cleaning arrangement for increasing the quality of the prints, as well as penumbra masking for producing photographs having sharply delineated borders.

摘要: A method of controlling the amount of a biologically active substance binding to a cell surface having both receptors to the substance and receptors for the Fc domain of an antibody that can complex with the substance or other antibodies that can complex with the substance. By exploiting the generally more numerous Fc receptor sites, substance binding can be increased and/or controlled. Method contemplates controlling amounts of substances such as cytokines, hormones, and growth factors that are associated with cells such as monocytes, macrophages, granulocytes, B cells, T cells, and platelets. Method is illustrated using conjugated antibodies to tissue necrosis factor (TNF) to increase the binding of TNF to monocytes.

摘要: Means and apparatus for aseptically transferring material between enclosures. Apparatus for transferring the material includes a fluid receiver assembly (12) comprising an adapter (24), and a fitting (93) mounted in the adapter (24). The fitting has a plurality of needle guide channels (86) leading from the outside of the fluid receiver assembly (12) toward the interior of the enclosure (10), and seal means (26) at the ends of the channels (86). Pierceable, self-closing seal means (26) is between ends of each of the channels (86) and the interior of the enclosure. Projected extensions of the channels pass through corresponding holes (40) in the adapter, so that needles (101) inserted into the channels (86) can penetrate the seal means (26) and enter the interior of the enclosure (10). A plurality of needles (101) in a novel needle bundle (95) may be used in making the transfer. An assembly for transferring material between two stationary enclosures comprises a pair of novel needle bundles (295 ) and connecting tubing (266). Methods of transferring materials are taught.
