摘要: A filtration system is disclosed. The filtration system includes a valve lid defining a chamber. The chamber is configured to extend substantially in a second direction. The filtration system also includes a filter element associated with a lower portion of the chamber. The filtration system further includes a passageway in flow communication with the lower portion of the chamber. The passageway is configured to provide flow communication for a mixture of oil vapor and crankcase fumes flowing into the chamber substantially in a first direction and substantially upward direction. The first direction is generally orthogonal to the second direction. The chamber is configured such that the flow of the mixture into the chamber results in at least a portion of the oil vapor collecting in the filter element, and at least a portion of the crankcase fumes flowing through the filter element.

The condensation reduction device may have a first body member configured to receive a flow of exhaust, and a reservoir in fluid communication with the first body member to collect condensate from the flow of exhaust. The condensation reduction device may further have a passageway in fluid communication with the reservoir to direct the collected condensate from the reservoir back into the flow of exhaust.

摘要: A method of controlling a variable valve actuation system is provided. A cam assembly is operated to move an intake valve between a first position where the intake valve blocks a flow of fluid and a second position where the intake valve allows a flow of fluid. At least one operating parameter of the engine is sensed. A valve actuation period is determined based on the at least one operating parameter. A valve actuator is engaged with the intake valve to prevent the intake valve from returning to the first position in response to operation of the cam assembly. The valve actuator is released to allow the intake valve to return to the first position at the end of the determined valve actuation period.

摘要: A fluid injector for use in an exhaust treatment system is disclosed. The fluid injector may have a nozzle portion, a heater associated with the nozzle portion, and a controller in communication with the heater. The controller may be configured to recognize a condition triggering a purge event of the fluid injector. The controller may also be configured to activate the heater to purge the fluid injector in response to the recognized condition.

The condensation dispersion device may have a housing with an inlet configured to receive exhaust, and an outlet configured to discharge exhaust. The condensation dispersion device may also have a first static mixing device disposed within the housing and being configured to redirect condensate from an internal wall of the housing into the exhaust.

摘要: A ventilation system for use with an internal combustion engine having a crankcase is disclosed. The ventilation system may have a breather housing connected to ventilate gases from the crankcase, and a filtration canister fluidly connected downstream of the breather housing. The filtration canister may have a filter housing, a filtering medium located within the filter housing to collect oil from the gases, and an oil collection container disposed within the filter housing and being configured to receive at least a portion of the filtering medium. The oil collection container may have a drain port in fluid communication with the crankcase. The filtration canister may also have at least one port configured to discharge the gases from the housing after the gases have passed through the filtering medium.

摘要: A method of operating an internal combustion engine, including at least one cylinder and a piston slidable in the cylinder, may include supplying pressurized air from an intake manifold to an air intake port of a combustion chamber in the cylinder, selectively operating an air intake valve to open the air intake port to allow pressurized air to flow between the combustion chamber and the intake manifold substantially during a majority portion of a compression stroke of the piston, and operably controlling a fuel supply system to inject fuel into the combustion chamber after the intake valve is closed.
