Abstract:
The present invention provides for x-ray imaging and ultrasound imaging of a body region of interest in a spatially correlatable manner. The resultant x-ray and ultrasound images may be combinatively employed to provide three-dimensional information regarding a location of interest within the body, and is particularly apt for use in the analysis/biopsy of potential lesions and suspicious masses in a female breast. The invention provides for direct body contact by an ultrasound imaging head, as well as targeted ultrasound imaging of a selected portion of the region from which x-ray images are obtained. A user interface system facilitates various procedures including ultrasound guided needle biopsy procedures.
Abstract:
A pallet is formed of two or more sections formed of plastic materials. The sections are adjustably fixed together using elongated connectors dimensioned to fit closely in channels with each of the connectors extending between a channel of one section and a channel of an adjoining section. The sections and the connectors are adjustably secured together by means of mechanical fasteners. Spaced apertures are provided through each of the channels and similarly spaced apertures are provided through each of the connectors whereby the dimensions of the pallet are adjustable. Pallets are provided that can be nested in an inverted orientation without increasing the thickness of the inverted pair greater than the thickness of a single pallet.
Abstract:
Some embodiments of the invention effectively shield signal traces on a substrate without impacting the signal trace routing on the metal layers of the substrate. Other embodiments of the invention provide improved power delivery without impacting the signal trace routing on the metal layers of the substrate. Other embodiments of the invention are described in the claims.

Abstract:
In one embodiment, a package-to-package stack is assembled comprising a first integrated circuit package, and a second integrated circuit package which are mechanically and electrically connected using an interposer and a substrate folded around the interposer. Other embodiments are described and claimed.
Abstract:
The invention relates to improved methods of hybrid seed production. More particularly it relates to the use of one (or two) phytotoxic chemical resistant genes in the male (and female) parent in a hybridization process, followed by uncontrolled pollination and dosing the resultant hybrids with the one (or two) phytotoxic chemicals to eliminate plants arising from unwanted contaminating seeds and thus producing pure F.sub.1 hybrids.
Abstract:
A method of geodetic information acquisition and a computer program product having computer code for performing the method are provided. The method includes identifying a file having multiple records, where the records contain spatially referenced data. The records are classified into header records and data records. Each data record is divided into fields. Patterns of fields consistent with sets of the data records are identified. The records are associated with a format based on the patterns of fields. At least some of the spatially referenced data is extracted from the records according to the format.
Abstract:
A modular seating system and installation method includes a plurality of seat assemblies fixedly arranged in rows in a seating facility. The seat assemblies have common support assemblies that support a respective seat portion and back rest of the seat assembly. An arm is adjustably mounted to each of the support assemblies, and is adjusted relative to the respective support assembly to provide a desired effective width of each of the seat assemblies. The arm is adjusted to a different position relative to the support assembly for at least some of the seat assemblies to provide the desired effective width and spacing of seat assemblies along the rows of seat assemblies. The fold angle of the seats and/or the tilt angle of the back rests may also or otherwise be adjustable depending on the particular application of the seat assemblies.
Abstract:
The invention provides a method for biasing a crop plant which is heterozygous for a transgene towards the production of seeds which carry the transgene comprising the step of contacting the crop plant containing a gene construct comprising the transgene coding for resistance to a specific phytotoxin with the specific phytotoxin one or more times during the life of the crop plant. The method achieves this through selective inhibition of phytotoxin-sensitive plant ovules, embryos and pollen. The method has particular application to the production of open pollinated and synthetic varieties of crop plants, such as alfalfa synthetic varieties.
